    You should be able to right-click it and open the image in a new tab. It gave me nothing until I refreshed the page again and it showed the imagine.

    Trailer was awesome. I'm really looking forward to this! Although, I can't believe how much Brosnan aged in the last 3-4 years.

    The first thing that struck me about the trailer was the very strange song use. It works to good effect, though.

    It's different, that's why I liked it. It isn't Guns-n-Roses/AC/DC/etc., the generic stuff you'd expect.

    Regarding the plot of The November Man, I saw this post on IMDB:

    The Prince
    A retired assassin is drawn back into the life he gave up when his daughter is kidnapped. To rescue her, he must confront his former rival.

    The Equalizer
    A former black ops commando who faked his death for a quiet life in Boston comes out of his retirement to rescue a young girl and finds himself face to face with Russian gangsters.

    The November Man
    An ex-CIA operative is brought back in on a very personal mission and finds himself pitted against his former pupil in a deadly game involving high level CIA officials and the Russian president-elect.

    A Walk Among the Tombstones
    Ex-NYPD cop Matt Scudder now works as an unlicensed private investigator operating just outside the law. When Scudder reluctantly agrees to help a heroin trafficker hunt down the men who kidnapped and then brutally murdered his wife, the PI learns that this is not the first time these men have committed this sort of twisted crime…nor will it be the last.

    So basically this is the same movie, right? All opening almost within one month of each other.

    I guess it's hard to come up with original ideas for films.;)

    Well, 'The Equalizer' used to be a television show and both 'A Walk Among The Tombstones' and 'November Man' were also series of books. I'm not sure about 'The Prince,' so it's just convenient timing. However, yes, Hollywood has definitely run out of ideas.

    Where did I read this ... someone once said, or in a book or article, "There are only two stories to be told in this world: boy meets girl and a stranger comes to town ..." May have said "Hollywood" instead of the "world" ... but that does cover rather a lot. ;)

    Most of the stories are the same in Hollywood, and even with certain genre scenes, they borrow from so many other films that it's merely all the same any longer, given a few exceptions. Most of the horror scares now are expected, most action sequences are generic (or horribly edited), most romance films have the same layout (especially rom-coms), etc. It's up to the director and screenwriter to shake it up and turn it up a notch. Take 'Insidious': one of the scariest films I've ever seen, and Whannell, who wrote the script, said that he had a list of horror cliches above his computer that he would scratch out and specifically avoid, and that's what gives us unique scares, jump moments, and character decisions (i.e. If you believe the house is haunted...get the hell out of there.)

    Then with action, take the two 'The Raid' films: excellent choreography with very unique stunt sequences and fight scenes that you don't really find anywhere else, and it makes it more than something just generic. However, when you have the same tried-and-trued plots in films, it can be something even better if it's been given great directing, acting, cinematography, choreography, writing, etc. It just depends and varies.

    And like the show True Detective. How many stories of serial killers are there now? Yet this was so outstanding. Great acting, writing, direction, music, production ... all of it.

    Exactly! You can take one typical story and make it phenomenal in every sense, just like 'True Detective.' That show was perfection, I honestly can't think of any complaints of it from start to finish. Also, 'Man On Fire' is one of my favorite films, but it's just a simple revenge story. However, since to me it's an expanded plot with phenomenal acting, storytelling, chemistry, and it isn't some cheesy shoot-em-up the whole time, which excels it above all of the others.

    How many episodes of True Detective are there, and how long are each? My friend has been quite adamant that I watch it and was curious.

    Having watched the trailer for The Prince, I would have rather seen John Cusack and Jason Patrick swap roles. But hey, Cusack it still in it, and it's an action thriller, so I will still watch it.

    Eight episodes and they're approximately 55 minutes (usually a little longer) each. I think you'll be very impressed with it.

    @MajorDSmythe, I watched the trailer for 'The Prince' yesterday, and my biggest issue with the casting (aside from Bruce Willis being bored yet again) is Curtis Jackson. Not sure how he continues to get roles.
