Hi Creasy47! Can I start a "Bond after Barbara Broccoli" thread? If not, how about a "Christopher Nolan's Untitled James Bond film" thread?

I like Creasy's romances better, but he writes pretty decent thrillers too. His thriller period was the first stage of his career before he went on to experiment with greater use of convention in a greater variety of genres, so he reads like a rookie figuring out his own style book to book in those early adventures. His blue period was nice, but secondary to his red one which is signified by the aforementioned passionate romances I love so much. For interested readers, I recommend his most famous romance trilogy starring raunchy cowboy Roy Hardabs, featured in the books Hogwild, The Rough Rider of Cadarillo County and the epic finale, Two Kisses for Cowboy.

I'm a member to a pulp book group on FB which is where I saw this one first. A friend of mine has the book and promised to lend me his copy for a read, but I received nothing yet. So, you do recommend this one, Braders?

I'm waiting for 'The Martian' to come out on Blu Ray here (on the 24th of this month I believe) before watching 'Sicario'. It's going to be one hell of a double feature!

Such restraint! It'll be worth the wait, though, as 'Sicario' is one of my favorites of 2015 and 'The Martian' came damn close to being one of them. Very good film.
  • DaltonCraig007

I've seen the movie atleast 20 times, but each time I see this trailer it gives me a sudden urge to rewatch 'The Man From Nowhere' again and again!

Excuse me, and forgive me for not playing by some unseen rules as to asking a honest and genuine question about the movie on my thread about Michael wilson which was closed seemingly with enthusiastic aplomb.

Surely being on this forum is to seek, offer, and generally share mutual enthusiasm about the films??? Where is the issue in posting the question on a thread??

Really do feel that there is some unwritten clique on here, and as someone that subscribes to the the magazine too, I never though I would feel unwelcome here. Your reaction to my innocent question does bring everything, including my paid subscription, into my own questioning.

The issue isn't with your question whatsoever; however, it's that we needn't create duplicate threads that take up even more space and send bigger topics lower and lower down the list when the aforementioned thread could've been asked elsewhere. We have many existing threads for things such as that, and your question (which I also had myself) could've been asked elsewhere. We try to combat duplicate threads as often as we can to keep things clean and tidy and keep the discussions centralized.

It's not meant to make you feel unwelcome, it happens to everyone. Hell, my first few weeks here were riddled with spam posts and unnecessary duplicate threads. The longer you stay, the more you realize how things work, and with that, the more enjoyable this place is. I meant no harm by it, but the mods and I have gone a little stir crazy lately due to all the spam posts and duplicate topics caused by the increase in members due to SPECTRE's release.

I do apologize if my closing of the thread seemed hasty or short; I meant no ill feelings by it at all.

No need to apologize, happens to everyone when they first start out.

A good tip for finding an original thread is to Google search keywords of the topic you plan on creating, followed by 'mi6community.' That way, it'll search these forums for any topics related to that. Usually I dig around for a minute or two and continuously alter my search words, and if I can't find anything, I find it safe to assume a topic has yet to be created. Hope that helps!
