    It was still a person who wrote that book, too. During one summer, probably. And how things get harder and harder is beyond me. What happened to progress?

    Much more difficult now to try and get some genuine Fleming material into a plot.
    I do think Eon could do a lot worse than to consider adapting some of the continuation novels from Gardner or Benson. I still love to see Amis' COLONEL SUN.
    Exactly, so not only do they need to create something that feels fresh, original and fits with the mould they’ve shaped for themselves over the years (which has proven success) but they need to honour the stories that came before by creating something great. While Spectre was successful at the box office, most fans and audiences didn’t enjoy what they got so I bet Eon are doing whatever they can to avoid this with Craig’s last picture. Eon and whoever’s on board have to create something they can stand behind and say, this is our Bond 25 and we can’t wait for you see it.

    I think you may have just figured it out. Felicity Jones is precisely the sort of uninspired choice I’d imagine Eon going for.....



    She looks a little mumsy. But she’s Oscar nominated, so Eon will naturally be desperate to sign her. She was painfully dull in Rogue One.

    Some odds and ends:

    --Aston Martin. This week is the Shanghai auto show. China is forcing automakers to make EVs and there have been a number of EV announcements at the show. Probably not directly related to Bond 25.

    --WGA writing rules. My understanding is up to three writers get a credit. However, a writing team (Purvis & Wade in this case) counts as one. In theory, that could mean up to six individual writers could be credited if three writing teams were given credit.

    There is a Screen Credits manual. This link discusses it and the manual itself can be downloaded:
