Kind of weird they won't talk about their upcoming bond film. its like a chore for them to discuss it, make the films etc
Not really, they just like to keep the secrecy and to say it's a chore for them is very insulting since it's their family business. If this because they haven't said when the conference is, then come on man, be patient. You'll have it at some point during the next month, I promise.
I was insulted as a fan when they were thrilled to delay the film a second time. Gotta keep your fans/customers happy or someone else will business 101
So would you had rather they not delay it and got another rushed piece of crap? Or explained how frustrating it is to be having another delay? Because they probably are somewhat frustrated by a delay, but they know it's for the best (which is why they said thrilled) and have to remain professional (which is why we didn't get an explanation). Also, to be honest, the only people complaining are here and I doubt they pop on and have a quick look to see how we're feeling.

They're job is give us a good James Bond film, not make sure we all know the date of something that'll be insignificant by the films release. Despite everything, you're gonna watch the press conference when it comes out and you're also gonna watch the film, so all this "give us the conference date" stuff will go out the window.

    So it's
unknown. I think an original title, with a hint of Fleming maybe

To be clear, the reason people got excited about the 4-March date (or March 4 as we call it in the U.S.) is because it came from an Eon press release. This one, to be precise. It's not like people grabbed on to the date out of thin air.

    http://www.007.com/bond-25-announcement-4/

Have things changed? Sure. Maybe they'd had been better off without including a production date in that press release. And maybe they're being careful this time around and not wanting to say anything until it's more nailed down.

Still, Eon was the entity that brought up March 4. Don't blame fans for mentioning it.
Yes, you're right, they did bring up the date, but like you said yourself things have changed, and just because that was an original filming date doesn't mean we're gonna get a bunch of information on it. They didn't say "Oh guys look out for some news on March 4", they said it will begin filming at Pinewood Studios on 4 March BEFORE the delay.

I'm not blaming people for bringing it up, I'm "blaming" fans for getting too impatient this early on. Yes, it's less than a month before the start of filming, but we never get anything concrete before the press conference anyway, which has always been a fews days to a week before filming starts. Eon like to give the fans the information first in a celebratory way (the press conference), rather than letting some news article that just wants a scoop do all the work.

    Point taken.

The thing is @AlexanderWaverly is they should have never set a start date so soon cause as we have seen anything can happen like burns having to polish the script and so far it seems they are still trying to lock in the actresses to play the main bond girls so hopefully eon won't be so ahead with the planned start date in the future plus they just recently got malek on board.

I'm sure if they had to do it all over again they'd have left out the filming start date.

My guess when ever they're ready to talk about Bond 25 in any kind of detail, they'll simply not mention the March 4 production start.

There's precedent for this. In July 2017, they said Purvis & Wade were writing. In May 2018, they said John Hodge was writing, with no mention of P&W.

In July 2013, they said John Logan was writing Bond 25. In December 2014, they said SPECTRE was written by Hodge, Purvis & Wade. They didn't say, "Logan messed up and we had to bring in Purvis & Wade. They just said all three were writers.

Ok then. We are all excited - just that most of us don't get to be "in the thick of it." ;)

Argh! I can't believe they asked EON the wrong question! "Barbara, when will you hold the press conference?" Simples!

I guess the producers won't be announcing the start of production until the press conference then. Shame we don't have that date either (at least not in any official capacity).

Well if this story is true, it certainly puts that to bed.

Well that confirms that shatterhand is definitely not the title!

For what it's worth, Eon is a family venture, not corporate like Marvel or Disney. So that means things are done a little differently, perhaps more slowly and ad hoc.

Well filming WAS supposed to start today. Before all the new drama began. Is it April 5 that it’s supposed to be now? What was the newest rumored date?

He comes back as a partner to Blofeld, at least in John Logan and Sam Mendes' book.

It's confusing to why most of the James Bond wiki pages state that he was arrested.

If I were to put my two cents into it I'd say April 5th is the day of the press conference, It's a friday anyway so why would filming begin on a Friday? I'd say April 8th is the real start date.

He looks like some sort of a Jeff Bridges in that photo. Well, Jeff Bridges and Kurt Russell combined into one.

I wouldn't hold this up as the absolute truth, but a little bit of insight into Danny Boyle leaving.
