    Already watched OHMSS

    Next will be;

    Christmas Vacation
    A Christmas story
    Elf
    It's A Wonderful Life

And not forgetting Blackadder's Christmas Carol which I've seen more time than is healthy, but it's still funny!

    Muppet Christmas Carol
    Home Alone
    It's a Wonderful Life

    Pretty good choices IMHO

I must add To Catch A Thief to my earlier list. I viewed it last year during the festive season and had a great time with it (it doesn't hurt that it's one of my favourite films). I think I may revisit this year, along with Charade (another of my all time faves).

I got to watch the first 45 minutes last night, but got too tired to finish. I will do so today. It’s one of the most disturbing but fascinating films I’ve seen. Definitely a favorite of mine, and one of many masterpieces from Stanley Kubrick.

Batman Returns, never miss a year!

    800.jpg

That's my #1 Christmas pick this year.
Die Hard & Gremlins as watching with my Son home from college will allows follow.
OHMSS if I can work it in...
  • Die Hard, Batman Returns, and OHMSS are all Christmas regulars for me.

Gremlins too sometimes, and after seeing it for the first time this year, I might have to make Eyes Wide Shut an off n' on Christmas semi-tradition too.

Lady in the Lake a Marlowe I have not seen for a long time, the film where we see only from Marlowe's point of view?
I was just watching scenes of A Wonderful Life on YouTube, Jimmy Stewart is brilliant.

I love LADY IN THE LAKE, but not nearly as much as some of the other Marlowe films.
WONDERFUL LIFE is great. One I like to watch a couple times per Christmas season.

OHMSS. I've been itching to watch it again for a while but waited as it's even better at this time of year!

Die Hard is another one due a rewatch.

A Christmas Story has become my 'watch every year Christmas film.' I just love it's humour and nostalgia.

Casablanca seems to turn up at Christmas so often it's become a Christmas film for me.

This year I'll be watching Penny Serenade with my mum, as I recently picked it up on DVD and neither of us has seen it (we're both big Cary Grant fans), and probably a few Christmas episodes of TV series, like The Thin Blue Line.

OHMSS without a doubt, and I think I will be watching it on Christmas Day this year (the missus is working!)
PORRIDGE the big screen version of Ronnie Barkers TV comedy, think it's the winter setting!!
OLIVER, nostalgia, family always watched this when we were young.
THE ITALIAN JOB, a favourite of mine, love it!
DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES, a late night watch, with a few whiskeys!
Other Bonds I hope to view are MOONRAKER and LICENCE TO KILL!

My favorite christmas movie is Trading Places with Dan Aykroyd and Eddie Murphy. I tend to watch it every year and it always gets me in the mood.

Is that the Roman Polanski Dance of the Vampires @Mathis1 ?

I saw that many years ago and absolutely loved it.

I remember it being very funny. With snowy locations and the music, it was very christmassy!

I must try and give it a rewatch.

Usually, and for now particular reason, I feel gravitated toward the LOTR series around Christmas. Not a lot of Christmas to be had in Middle-Earth (nor in my house) but since everyone else seems so taken with the second most retarded holiday of them all (the first being New Year), I prefer to lock myself up inside the house. I guess a four-hour movie a day helps to fill in the blanks in my daytime activities. ;-)

It is indeed. Alternative title is The Fearless vampire Killers.
Wouldn't be classed as a Polanski classic, but am very fond of it. Great atmosphere, music, and cast. Sharon Tate is in it and great Irish actor Jack Macgowan! Always view it at Christmas as I remember watching it on TV late one time. Bought the dvd a couple of years ago. Great fun.

I do feel like watching LOTR around Christmas myself. Especially Fellowship.

The Great Escape was an annual watch back when there were only a few TV channels. Its been a few years since I caught up with the Cooler King, adding that to my watchlist.
