    Ah, thanks!

I find it curious that they would make her even younger, considering Craig’s age.

I don't think that's a young Léa, wasn't the casting call published by a French casting agency? Why would they search for a French girl to play a younger version of an (apparently) Scandinavian character. It has to be about another upcoming, most likely French movie of hers. Let's not forget also the report earlier about a set worker saying the young girl is Norwegian.
Even if the character isn't French, Lea is.

I’m a little confused about this casting detail. Was it ever confirmed that a French girl had landed the part? Maybe Fukunaga wasn’t happy with the selection process and decided to cast their net further afield with a Norwegian girl being chosen instead.

@minion yes but my point is that they don't need another French actress for that, they could go for a local one.

Actually less money. They could get a local girl you’re right. If they get someone who isn’t local they are paying to fly her out, hotel etc.

They save money by going local. Not that they need it with their budget

Although probably unlikely, it might be because of the incentives. The qualification test for the incentives included things like the usage of Norwegian manpower (security would perhaps fall under that category, for example), but also actors.

Bond was roughly 44/45 in SP (Bond's order of temporary guardianship revealed that he was 12 years old in 1983), and assuming that Madeleine was roughly 32-36 (not unlikely if she was a psychologist at a private medical facility), it's not a massive age difference.

I'd be very surprised if this
    isn't Madeleine Swann

Assuming Madeleine is around Lea's age, 31. The child in the pics looks to be about 11 or 12, so about 20 years ago. I suppose it's possible for a young Malek (20), to be the one hunting her down, and he's now 40... In the flashback he was a young soldier making his way up a criminal organization?...

These. I’m think it’s very likely this is Madeleine and Malek’s character.

A lot of details aren't totally confirmed, as we've had conflicting informations.

But it's pretty sure that the casting call was for Bond 25. How many films starring Léa Seydoux (or basically any current actress) have you seen where a younger version of her character has a scene where she must swim? Let's say she has another couple of films in production this year. What are the odds she's involved in two different projects where a young blond girl looking a lot like her has to deal with a lot of water?

Maybe the girl is French, and the set worker assumed she was Scandinavian. Maybe they couldn't find a suitable French girl and had a lot of luck with a local young girl, and her lines will be dubbed in French (or in whatever Mr. White's first language was supposed to be). Or maybe the part was rewritten, so the actress doesn't have lines anymore.

By the way, that's why a script is never totally finished. There are constant adjustments required during production.

    Malek weighs 135-140 pounds...

The stunt double looks like he’s 170-180..

I don’t see the issue with the young girl being Scandinavian. It’s completely possible she has no dialogue. She’s likely been cast for her likeness.
Not sure if anyone has picked up on this, but it looks to me as if the masked character has scarring on the exposed part of his face. Not that it’s massively important.

Also, I’m not convinced that this is supposed to be Malek (if he is indeed in the film). This isn’t really the sort of scene for which you’d use a double.

    I agree…
Stunt doubles are frequently used for other characters, especially henchmen or soldiers etc. in action or hazardous scenes like the chase on the ice lake. I don't think we are seeing the main villain here, but I do think we are seeing young Maddy Swann in a scene set 20 or so years in the past - either an opening scene, which I think is quite likely, or a later flashback -- but filming in IMAX 70mm suggests to me this is an in situ and very dramatic opening rather than a flashback.

So looks like the rest of the film is indeed being shot on 35mm anamorphic like Spectre, instead of digital as previously reported http://indiewire.com/2019/03/bond-25-imax-cinematographer-linus-sandgren-1202054602/

I had a feeling this would be the case. Until someone mentioned Sandgren had before confirmed the film would be shot on digital, my instincts led me to thinking we'd be getting a predominantly 35mm picture. But, as is common these days, it's likely we'll be getting a combination of various formats depending on what's required for each scene.

I'd have been happy regardless as Sandgren is a talented dude.

Wow. They are making a big Deal out of this. Interesting.

Maybe they saw LALD and want to make sure there are no more "two-bit island diplomats" appearing in the movie.

I'm not convinced that is an IMAX camera.

What do you think it is, then? It looks like one to me.

We've got ourselves an impatient lot here.

Can we please pull ourselves together and reserve judgment till after we've seen the film? Even when the comment is jokingly made, some are bound to take it seriously and since people have lost every sense of irony or tasteful sarcasm (if that is possible), we will surely end up with another caustic remark or two in no time.
