Make male-only screenings of what I can only assume will be another inevitable 'Magic Mike' sequel. Women would riot in the streets.

    @Creasy47, haha, so true.

Random triggered feminist: "Oh, this is so predictable of this shitty, shitty male patriarchy that makes slaves of women! I just wanna see Channing Tates rip his shirt of and rub body oil on his mountainous pectorals, and now a man is going to tell me I can't experience that? I might just go lesbian in protest! TRIGGERED!!!"

I imagine women would just get over the fact that some men would like a screening to themselves for whatever reason and go see a screening elsewhere.

Yes, their popularity is so strange to me. It seems that many women have the inherent desire to be tied up by men and treated like utter shit in an abusive relationship. What a turn on that must be!

It's the same with the Twilight bullshit and how popular that got. So many women attracted to the relationship of the characters depicted, who treat each other horribly, with the woman acting submissive and asking for danger and the man stalking her. That must get them all hot and bothered.

Bond would have a book burning party for the likes of 50 Shades and Twilight, to piss in the face of that kind of "romance." The kind of sex the films portray, with Bond like an animal looking for its next feast and the consensual women who want him back, are a far more realistic portrayal to me that any of the above. Humans are impulsive and driven by desire and "horniness." When Bond makes love he's wild, as are the women, and I don't think that's fudging how it really goes down between two passionate humans who want each other. Bond didn't need to whack a girl's bum with a riding crop or bind her up in a leather harness to get her off, he was just himself.

James "Bondage" Bond, it'd be jarring to see them try to bring Bond down that route. To me, 50 shades, Twlight, Magic Mike, and all those other similar titles do for women what Bond does for us. It propels them into their ultimate fantasy. The way we all see Bond girls like Honey Ryder, Pussy Galore, Tracy, Domino, any of them, I would imagine women would feel the same when women take a look at the characters in 50 shades, and Twilight.

Absolutely. It's depressing to see talented people in the public eye, confess to be feminists, wearing slogans like "Everyone should be a feminist." If I want to be brainwashed, and have my head full of this nonsense, there's no shortage of possibilities. I would rather join a church of Morris Dancers, and wear a shirt with the slogan "Everyone should be a Morris Dancer" on it.

@MajorDSmythe, the modern day feminists really have ruined it for everyone in that regard, and you are seeing less and less of the gender defining themselves as one of them. The issue is, as you can see above, feminism of the new millennium is all about playing the victim and blaming men, the exact defense some have to this Wonder Woman screening. We live in western worlds where women can chase the same opportunities as the boys, but to fit their agenda they have to paint an anti-woman world and use men as their targets.

I wish men could have a special club where we got to complain about women and blame them for all of our problems. But since we rule the patriarchy I guess we don't have any problems to face in the world. How could I forget?

Don't get me wrong, I am all for what the movement was originally set up for, women should have had those rights as soon as men did. What I do have a problem with, is the nasty, vindictive movement it's become, and as you say, them always playing the victim card. You see it all the time, how they try to shame those who haven't been brainwashed. My advice is to fight back by way of not letting them shame or silence you.

If it sounds like I have some experience, then it's because I have had the misfortune to encounter these people on the net.

I certainly wouldn't mind being at the mercy of either of their truth lassos.
  • Neither would I, these two are really attractive, especially Gal Gadot. She has such a wonderful smile and kind soul

I think that is what will really make her a strong Diana.

Agreed, all around I think she'll be great, she certainly was my highlight of BVS. I loved every minute of her on screen, she really stole the show.

I can't comment on her soul, but Gadot is quite mysterious & alluring as Diana Prince (at least from BvS). That's helpful for a big screen adaptation.

She seems to demonstrate more innocence in the scenes I've seen for WW, which I'm not too keen on. Given this is an origin story, I suppose it's par for the course, like it was with Captain America: The First Avenger (a film I did not like by the way).

I have a feeling I will prefer her in Justice League.

The witch was awesome, especially in her first scene.

I do like the actress Cara Delavigne there is something about her.

Now I did not expect to see this when I checked the Nerdist news feed...

    Crikey that's Hawkgirl

I watched this the other day. Nerdist does a lot of these kinds of music videos and they're typically stupid but this one was actually good... even with the mute off. I never realized before how much Jessica Chobot (the one on the left in the thumbnail) looks like Linda Carter.

Agree at first glance Chabot has quite a resemblance to Carter, not sure who the girl in the middle of the Thumbnail is?

I think that innocence will serve her well. Up until this film, Diana has heard nothing but horrible things about "man's world," and will travel to it not knowing what to expect while awkwardly trying her best to fit in with the civilians despite being a goddess. Should be a fascinating dynamic.

I had heard about this film. I'm quite looking forward to it. William Moulton (aka Charles) Marston also had input into the invention of the modern polygraph, in addition to coming up with Wonder Woman.
