OT: Recent rumors peg Damian Lewis as a replacement for Daniel Craig, AFTER SPECTRE. I hope this is not true as I though DC is contracted for one more film after SPECTRE. What do we think?

    Rory Kinnear interview,

Interesting to learn Dame Judi's late husband Michael was Kinnears Godfather.

Probably that's how he got the role?

Not necessarily. The acting world is a relatively small one at a certain level. I think he might be liked by the team: even though he has a small not iconic role he was at the conference and Mendes said in an interview (inaccurately) that Kinnear came with SF.

unless it rains again? Bond is a Gremlin, he can take out the most ruthless masterminds, sleep with gorgeous women and dice with death but get him wet, feed him after midnight and put him infront of direct sunlight...

    :))

What is funny is that the scenes in the film will be rainy as confirmed by people on set - only it will be added in post (hence them wetting the streets).

Thanks, the excuse of the rain sound like a pretext (they said they want film sequence with helicopters the 21 because they can do shoot all sequence they need because rain in the morning last week - but however they doesn't film the heli sequence in the morning last week (it's end to midnigth).

Does anyone know if production is running behind schedule? Especially since Craig's surgery, it seems like everything has been running slower than thought.

Running slower how? They're still filming and have had time to do reshoots while all the while releasing a teaser trailer and a tv spot. On top of that, Craig wasn't out for that long and it's not like they stopped production because of him, they ended up shooting scenes that were meant to be filmed later earlier. There's also that scheduled timetable where we know which video blogs are coming out over the next few months. Everything appears to be fine.

Mendes said in December, that they will film for 7 months.
Shooting started on December 8. So they will hit the 7 months-mark on July 8.
And even if they are shooting until July 15, I won't call that a delay.

I understand that Mendes has a unique way of making a movie as well, he breaks in 4. And each 1/4 section is edited while the next is being filmed. So litteraly weeks after filming ends the end product will be ready.

What set could it be. In the description it is said 13,135 galvanised steel tubes, 3,409 fittings, 45ft high – a SPECTRE set on the Pinewood backlot

Please put your thinking in spoiler tags

Mexico? Can't think of any other location shooting involving buildings of this height and we saw Bond traversing roof tops.
