I like Earth One the best. It's classic batman. :)
  • Need an opinion-- made my logos today-- the 'New 52' bat is pleather but the oval is actually a wooden piece of railing decor from Home Depot! It's about an inch thick and has a nice beveled edge, which I thought was perfect for the 'Earth One' version.

The suit I built is basic enough that it could go either way:

    Earth One. It looks awesome.

Earth One for sure. I'd be impressed if it stopped bullets.
  • Here is what I'm working on for my own house party-- I didn't just want to buy one of those shirts from Hot Topic. It's much more fun to make your own! I really wanted a Steve Dillon style shirt. It's a rough WIP but so far so good!

I'm gonna have to go on a massiv search to get a cane since my idea is Crazy Bruce Wayne with goatee, nightgown and such. It will surely be cold as hell but it's all for art :P

Well my Punisher costume is just about done! Still need to do some more detail on that skull, and I'm going to have real black BDU pants instead of what I'm wearing in the pic. The pants I'm going to wear have like a thousand pockets- they're perfect! Plus I'm going to have black gloves.

Sorry I lost so much detail with my phone-- I'm wearing a shoulder holster too and you can barely even tell! #-o

The leg holster is actually a 3-ring binder! :-bd And that gun is leftover from Last year's Terminator outfit that never really got off the ground...

    Awesome, @Master_Dahark!
  • I need an opinion plz-- I did make the 'teeth' for my shirt but I don't know if I should use them- they're awfully uncomfortable, but it does allow me to have them go over the belt as in the comic.

Should I go accurate and use them? Or be comfortable? (The teeth are painted on the shirt either way- but the shirt tucks into my pants)
Here I am holding them in place as I haven't attached them yet-- they are wood:

I would go to JoAnn fabrics or somewhere like that and buy a thin sheet of foam padding. Similar to the egg carton padding you would put on your bed for back support and make each individual tooth. The foam padding is usually a bright aqua green color.

Even unfinished, that's absolutely brilliant! You got the look.
  • @Master_Dahark, you are the man.

As for comic accuracy, you did an awesome job on the wood teeth. Looks identical to the book.

Sadly, it's unlikely anyone will appreciate that where you go. So it's really your call.
  • However, if it looks like we're going someplace where there will be CONTESTS, then I'm breaking out the Bat-Suit!!!

    I'll be suiting up also

    You're welcome. :)
  • I did a little work on mine today-- started touching it up when I decided it wasn't symmetrical enough for me and kept right on working on it-- my girlfriend helped as well! Now I'm good to GO

This turned out even better than I anticipated!

My pumpkin this year! I didn't have a stencil or anything so I had to freehand it....hence why james Bond looks like ET in a tuxedo. haha.

Over the last two days, our nationwide radio station has played nothing but Halloween inspired themes i.e. Thriller, Monster Mash etc., but one particular song I remember as a kid played on the radio yesterday- and completely blew me away as I've never heard it on the radio before, nor have I seen the show for many years. The audio quality isn't great- but remember this, fellow 80's babies?:

Halloween was definitely a success! The costume turned out great I think.

    My complete outfit:

Without all the guns-- just the shirt I painted. Not quite as threatening.... :)) :

Well done, Master! =D> Gotta respect the amount of time and effort you put into these costumes.
  • Thanks! It was fun and I even met a couple Bond fans at the party I went to! They were chatting casually and I joined in; we were all mutually amazed at how much 'Bond trivia' we knew, lol
Always good to meet new friends

Don't know about the rest of you, but me and my GF didn't get one damn trick-or-treater the whole night. I was ready to greet them with my hockey mask and everything..... oh well, more candy for me!

We had a chill movie night- I wanted a scary one and she wanted a girly one. So we settled on 'Ghost' :P which neither of us have seen. It.... was pretty dated. Maybe it was good when it first came out but bleh....

    Happy Halloween
