Well I got the second season of The Equalizer, With Kevin Spacey as one of the Villians who was the nasty Lex Luther in SuperMan Returns. Anthony Zerbra from Licence to Kill as 1 of his Clients. Well it does have to be an American Actors? I love if was a British actor. It will good if former Dr Who Christopher Eccleston or Paul McGann to play Robert McCall. Eric Roberts can play Control. He was the not complete Master in the 1996 Dr.Who opposite Paul McGann.

Denzel Washington Set As "The Equalizer"

Sony Pictures has set an April 8th shooting start date for its update of the classic 80's TV series "The Equalizer" reports Deadline.

Richard Wenk recently submitted a script that has rushed the project into gear. The previously linked Denzel Washington remains onboard with his deal being closed now.

Budgeted at a tight $50 million, the project is being seen as a potential franchise launcher with numerous directors about to meet with the studio for the job of helming it. Names on the list include the likes of Pierre Morel ("Taken"), Nicolas Winding Refn ("Drive"), Gavin O’Connor ("Warrior") and Gareth Evans ("The Raid").

Edward Woodward starred in the classic CBS television series about Robert McCall, a former operative of a covert intelligence organisation who seeks redemption for his dark past via offering his services to those being persecuted and in need of help.

The film keeps the basic premise, but then goes off on its own tangent with Washington as a "solitary, monastic figure who hates injustice and devotes himself to helping people who are being victimized."

I'm pleased you said this oo7, I love The Sweeney, and I'm a Ray Winston fan but everything about this looks awful.

There is always PERSONS OF INTEREST this generations equilizer. B-)
  • The Equalizer was one of my favorite tv show. Edward Woodward played the role to perfection, a former mysterious spy with goverment connection out there to protect ordinary people facing overwhelming odds. The paper add said it all. I still have all the epidose on VHS and I'm waiting to find it at a reasonnable price to buy it on dvd.
My only hope is that, if they do make a movie out of the serie, it will be true to the essence of The Equalizer's spirit and not a travesy of a movie.

Rupert Wyatt To Helm "The Equalizer" Reboot

With "Drive" director Nicolas Winding Refn recently confirmed as being out of the project, Sony Pictures seems to have already found a replacement for their upcoming cinematic reboot of the 1980s TV series "The Equalizer".

Rupert Wyatt, the director of "Rise of the Planet of the Apes," is in early discussions to direct the Denzel Washington-led action thriller.

Edward Woodward starred in the classic CBS television series about Robert McCall, a former operative of a covert intelligence organisation who seeks redemption for his dark past via offering his services to those being persecuted and in need of help.

The film keeps the basic premise, but then goes off on its own tangent with Washington attached to play a retired intelligence officer living a quiet life. One of his acts of kindness gets him embroiled with the Russian mob. Source: THR

Washington plays Robert McCall, a retired intelligence officer living a quiet life when one act of kindness toward a prostitute (Chloe Moretz) gets him embroiled with the Russian mob.

Csokas will play a vicious fixer for the Russians. Shooting is slated to begin this summer in Boston.

Nice. She played one of the detectives in my favorite cop program, "Homicide: Life In the Streets", which starred Yaphet (Kanaga) Kotto.
