It's what we've discussed since yesterday - MI6 posted it, so no need for that grain of salt. It's no Cashley rumor, anyway.

Ahh, I didn't get a video when I clicked it; maybe it's my browser not showing it, as all I read was what was already mentioned. Thanks for the heads up.

The video seems to refer to this story from 2017 and is pre-Boyle, so I'd take this with a huge grain of salt.

Thanks for the link - yes, I remember reading that rumor a good while back. Hoping that's the case and it doesn't pan out.

This was probably the draft John Logan, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade originally started on. I'm hoping none of them have any say in the script this time around.

Logan wasn't around for Bond 25. He was ditched mid-way to Bond 24.

I didn't know that. That may explain some things!

I hope the next bit of news is filming locations.

Location scouting is no doubt the next phase of news we can expect. The UK is a given, and Russia is likely in the cards as well. Exciting times.

Moscow featured in a few of the Moore films, but we never saw Bond there. Maybe this time?

These new developments are looking good to my eyes. Hopefully. PinchleySaltia was full of it.

The character being described as ‘Cosmopolitan’ suggests to me he is a world traveller - so I’m not necessarily sure it points to Russia as a definite ‘location’. I could easily be wrong, though.

Same with the Maori actor- not necessarily meaning we get an NZ locale. However, that would be most welcome.

I suppose others have wondered whether that guy is an MI6 Community member, creating those rumours specifically to lure in some of the gullible folk here and cause chaos. Indirect trolling, as it were.

Yeah, I never really bought them as real rumors but they were the kind of rumors that seemed like on a bad day could be true.

Just been having a few more thoughts on the villain role. One actor who played 'Evil Russian' recently was the great Gary Oldman in The Hitman's Bodyguard. Now that film was wholly disposal and unremarkable in every single way.

However, the thought of Oldman playing an evil Russkie was enough to convince me to sit through it. To be perfectly honest, the concept is more fun than the execution in Hitman's Bodyguard as Oldman is hardly in that film and all his scenes are very generic. I suspect Boyle would get the best out of him.

However, his recent Oscar clout (not to mention his already legendary status) surely put him in contention for any older male villanous role in the Bond franchise.

Another good thing to come out of the The Hitman's Bodyguard was Elodie Yung who would be pitch perfect for a Craig-era Bond girl.

Also having looked over Emma Freud's Twitter page it seems as thought they have done filming the Boyle/Curtis comedy:

It's beyond criminal that Oldman hasn't been cast in a Bond film. This needs to happen now.

Dua Lipa - Be The One and a interview at The European Border Breakers Awards 2017 (English Award) (include Dutch subtitels for interview at the end, because it is recording from Dutch tv.)

Difrent Crouds sounds like People everywhere!

I never thought even for a second that these Cashley rumors were true, too absurd, and I have a lot more faith in Babs and Michael than that. Seems i am in the minority nowadays.

This Dua Lipa rumour needs to go away. We don't need friggin foreign (to human ears) subsided vowels to form the basis of a Bond song. There's enough of that load of bull on the mainstream market right now, we don't need that for Bond.

This Dua person sounds like a thousand other "artists" of today. Hope she's not the pick for B25.

Yeah she is too generic, nothing outstanding or memorable about her voice and style, from what i've heard.

Not to mention her inability to pronounce and enunciate words.

There can better wait til Bond 26 and then take American Billie Eilish (Then she turn 21, now she is 16) or mabey then Dua Lipa. But for now, i say no too.

Sheena Easton whas also very young when she did FYEO.

Mabey to young for Bond 25. She turn 16 today, in July 2019 she is 17 and she wil not turn 18 before 19 December 2019. Mabey in 2022 when she is 20 and wil turn 21 in that year.

I also don't whant Adele back for Bond 25. I prefer a group.

She can learn to enunciate and pronounce words first while singing, then we'll think about it.

Because, now, she sounds like a drugged drunkard.

Please, not another ballad. With “You Know My Name” the Craig era came in with a roar; have him go out with one.
