    Never heard anything of hers until yesterday and it was utter garbage. The breadth and variety of artists out there today and we're somehow getting rumors for folks like her and Ed Sheeran? Boggles my mind.

    I think it might be a Boyle decision (obviously he won’t be given Carte Blanche), where the previous two were EON’s call. He knows his music.

    That's because the Bond girl was initially supposed to be a Swedish CIA agent, if I recall correctly.
    No. The Swedish character and the CIA agent were two different characters.

    Yes, it would have made more sense for White's daughter to be Scandinavian.

    This is the 21st Century. It shouldn't matter what nationality an actress is to play a specific nationality.

    It just matters what nationality they self-identify as.

    I respect your opinions. For me though, as Scarjo can't act, and JLaw's treatment of everyone and mouthing off is off putting to me.

    Alicia Vikander would hardly be what I’d call inspired casting considering that she’s already appeared in both UNCLE and Bourne. I’m hoping for someone that I haven’t seen in another big franchise movie. Someone that makes her unique to Bond.

    This for sure. CR, QoS and SF had fantastic Bond Girl casting (except for Judy Dench). All unknowns at the time, and far more effective than the bigger names of SP.

    That got old a long time ago. Same can be said of other celebrities too, but she really needs to dial that down a notch or two.

    I look at Jennifer Lawrence as Hollywood's female Donald Trump. She doesn't know what she's talking about. She shoots her mouth off, and it's going to backfire on her, if it hasn't already. She claims to drop out of middle school, but in actuality she dropped out of high school because she was bored. Now she goes to schools to talk to kids about politics. No wonder my country is in so much trouble in the future.

    I would be happy with a relative unknown in Bond girl roles - just get the right one; lovely (but that comes in all varieties), with actual chemistry on screen.

    Oh and did somebody mention Jennifer Lopez? Or did I misread earlier posts? Because THAT would make me truly ill.
