    Just because an actor has played a bad guy well in the past shouldn't disqualify them from playing a bad guy again. The character just needs to be very different, not like some famous role an actor has done before.

    Reading through all this, and taking the combined intent of the news here, it's obvious Craig and all the secondary players, including M, Q, Moneypenny and Blofeld, are coming back for at least one more, maybe two. It's happening. Done and done.

    I James Bond is supposed to be 35, then only 2 out of 6 actors were young enough to play him. DC was 38 when he made CR.

    If the producers really didn't know that DC was coming back for another movie, then the way they used and seemingly lamely concluded the return of Blofeld was a shameful waste. I cannot believe they would be that useless. I think the cast of SP will return for the sequel and I suspect the contracts - including confidentiality clauses to allow the casting hype to build over time - were signed long ago. This uncertainty over casting lets them make a big announcement later. I hope.

    Blofeld was killed at the end of scripts of SP until the very last rewrites.

    Well thank goodness they did not kill him off in SP. It really should be at least a 2 film arc for Blofeld.

    First of all SP didn't feel like a first part to a story.
    Secondly no villain has ever reprised his role (actor).
    No Bond girl has ever been used twice.
    Mrs Trench doesn't count.
    Even if Craig returns, what I hope, it will be a single mission with no personal stuff as there is nothing left to tell unless Bond25 will be an episode of Grey's Anatomy :))

    However, age discrimination is now illegal in the UK, and as an ageing Caucasian able-bodied straight male it is nice to know that I can now claim some protection against prejudice

    Trench does count. How does she not? Why do you get to choose who counts or who doesn't? WTH?
