He is playing Blofield I tell you... they all are...
Just kidding :D
this news is interesting
I'm actually hoping that 'if' there have been changes to the script, Lea Seydoux will be the main bond girl. (Hopefully a bad girl who comes good at the end), and 'if' Monica does have a part in the film, perhaps she will play a villain or the secondary Bond girl, or perhaps just be involved in the scene's filmed in Italy. If Joanna had a role similar to Clair Dowar MP, i'd be fine with that, but that's me. Everybody has different opinions as you say.
Make that many straight men with half a bottle of Tequila in them. It might be considered political incorrect in the extreme, but I still happen to think Bond girls should be just that - girls ( or at the very,very least women on the good side of 35).
I always said, a re-introduction of Blofeld has to be both ingenious and carefully crafted. Which means that we probably don't get large screentime for a possible Blofeld-character in Bond 24. Or perhaps only a cameo from Blofeld.
So perhaps this Andrew Scott is the actual screen villain, with the largest screentime. A bit like Largo vs. Kronsteen. Perhaps Andrew Scott plays Franz Oberhauser, the son of the late Hans Oberhauser. And then Christoph Waltz has a tiny roly in Bond 24 as Blofeld, close to the end of the film.
I always thought that, if Blofeld returns, they won't bring him back with such an uninteresting "big bang". The character, IF the character will be re-introduced, will be brought back carefully and in a nuanced and at the same time sinister and exciting way. Small screentime, but with wunderful impact.
Very good thoughts here. I agree 100 percent!
This would be a good idea. No reason, attractive older women can't be cast in supporting roles. She does't have to be a Bond girl, per se.
I think you could be on to something there.
Well, it always seemed to me that
But then
So
It's all coming together now...
L-)
Hopefully that's not the case. Or else that would be a terrible waste of Waltz and the use of a nobody in a major part, considering you had Bardem as the villain in Skyfall.
EDIT: I will eat a shoe if Andrew Scott has a bigger role than Waltz.
I'm pretty sure he refers to Dave Bautista's casting : he was the one who gave us the scoop, and now he simply says his scoop will be confirmed during the photocall. I don't think he'd be keeping any other big news under wraps if he had them.
just load up a Bond playlist on iTunes, like i do :-D
Whats 4/12/14 for?
Hmm...
Waltz = Number 1
Bellucci = Irma Blunt
Scott = Kronsteen
Bautista = Grant?
I don't know if any of the Bellucci or Scott rumblings, bear even a scintilla of veracity, but if true, I could see both of them fitting in very nicely in strong support roles.
It does seem that Waltz and Seydoux have the beefy roles, along with Bautista as henchman, but there is still room for a few other substantial parts, I would think.
I may not go that far ;) but we'll see how it starts to look! I'm not going to get as pumped as I did with SF.
=D>
Which I'm realllllly hoping is the case. Bond tussling with her as a femme fatale while fist fighting Bautista and taking on Waltz and Scott is an unbelievable notion. Let's just hope those fist fights are a bit better this time around. I want Bond more capable and gritty, ala CR and QoS.
