    The more I see about this one, the more I think it was a mistake for Stallone to go back on his own idea of not beating a character into the ground. The last one was a perfect ending to the series IMO.This is not needed. Give us more Expendables movies!!

    I think The Expendables really ran out of steam with the third one. The core gimmicky charm that gave the series its purpose was lost once they brought "young blood" into it, and then made it PG-13 on top of that.

    It was even worse than that: they shot it with an R-rating and changed their minds after, resulting in that absolutely garbage editing to hide most of the blood and gore. Toss in, as you said, that uncharismatic younger cast to parallel the older guys and it was a train wreck.

    Not saying its going to be bad. But Stallone could very well do other things, couldn't he? I don't know, Cobra films, or The Specialist as a TV show, or even, god forbid, something original with an original premisse and character.

    It certainly feels like there's some of the No Country For Old Men and Logan "modern western" influence the film. I am totally on board with it.

    I liked that shot.
    It shows up on my pc and phone, not sure why it's not working though images not working has happened before.
