What? This thread has gone unused for weeks. I clam (I mean "claim") it as a discussion amongst those who've seen the movie (see the warning?). Why use spoiler tags then?
    :-??

Hey, why are you here? You haven't seen the movie! Now I had to spoiler tag my comment! :D

Because @4EverBonded hasn't watched the film yet and she could have accidentally saw the spoiler.

You didn't read my spoiler before I tagged it, did you?

I'm resisting the urge to watch it again tonight...

I already knew that. :) No worries.

Just get "SPOILERS" in the thread's title, that would fix it best now I think.

Nah, too much work. @Murdock is right; we'll just spoiler tag stuff.
    Like this:
When Deveraux cut that girl's leg I was stunned. That was some cold shit.

I agree, that was really unexpected and Dark. I could never picture his Bond doing that. Maybe Dalton though. His performance was not too different than Dalton's in Licence to Kill. That scene also gave me a jump scare because of Brosnan's sudden shouting. :))

For me it shows how Dark Brosnan's Bond could have been. If he'd been
    Given a few better scripts.

I think Brosnan probably wanted one scene at least that was in stark contrast to a typical Bond action/reaction.

I think Brosnan did a great job of of keeping Deveraux from seeming too much like Bond.
Also, director Roger Donaldson (who worked before with Brosnan on Dante's Peak) suddenly has two other films lined up, one a WWII movie in pre production and another spy-ish thriller right after. November Man is working out well for everyone!

I'd rate NM along side the likes of Haywire, another modest-budgeted spy flick that made up for lack of OTT grand set-pieces with inventive plotting & good character. In fact, neither movie would have been better for a huge budget. Less is more.

Agreed. I liked how claustrophobic The November Man felt in parts. Quite atmospheric to make up for the lack of noisy action.

I was looking forward to seeing this in the cinema but it was never shown in Cardiff(to date) so I guess I'll have to wait for the DVD/Blu Ray....

Ummm, everyone was supposed to see this by now. Your reviews are late.
I may just have to give this entire class a blanket "F"... :-?

Guys, do you hate Brosnan so much? It's really a pretty good film....
  • Why did Olga hop onboard for this movie? Barbara Broccoli actually wanted Camille to return.

Olga got to work with Pierce Brosnan. :D

Seriously, how do you know that Barbara wanted Camille to return?

    I loved it.

Olga's character in this film was pretty much identical to that of Camille, except it was developed to a much better standard.
  • Any word on the release date for the DVD in the UK?

Is the sequel to this movie still in the works ?

It seems like critics weren't huge fans of the movie, and I haven't heard news about a sequel in a while..

Yes it did. But I'd be interested in seeing Deveraux's evolution as a character. His ultimate damnation or redemption.
