@chrisisall, that film is such a guilty pleasure of mine. Really great film with excellent chemistry. Also nice to see a pre-Bond Eve and a post-Bond Bond together.

Guilty pleasure is right, but what the heck! I had a ball watching it last night! Funny, sexy AND exciting? Too bad DAD wasn't as cool.

Found myself a copy of Spielbergs 1941, excellent movie.

Somebody on a internetsite (marktplaats) had Skyfall for sale, I asked what he wanted to have it he asked only for postage as he disliked 007 movies. I received the copy today still in seal and never played. The 1st 007 movie I bought since CR.

    Doesn't like 007 movies... :))

I have been given cd's and dvd's that were given with the best intent but most certainly not my cup of tea. I do know people who consider the 007 franchise beyond contempt and find it the bane of good cinema. And to a point I do consider quite a few movies better than any 007 movie, but there are not many that have given me so much pleasure over and over again.

I have bought dvd's before from folks who got them as presents but did sell them to make place for better products. Each to his/her own. And I got the dvd without spending too much money. I did get the Daltons also for next to nothing ............

Well today was my birthday, so my girlfriend was on a roll and presented me with 'Gangster Squad' on blu-ray before we went out to town. There, she got me 'Halloween II' (original, not that God awful joke of a remake) with the awesome box art, 'House of Wax' (huge favorite of mine in the horror department), and 'Kill Bill: Vol I,' all on blu-ray. Then I went to Wal-Mart and they had a huge stack of amazing steelbook blu-rays for $12.96. I was stunned with some of these. I got a steelbook of 'War of the Worlds,' and this very cool limited edition steelbook of 'Scarface,' which looks like a comic book cover. I really had wished I didn't have most of those films already, because the steelbooks looked much, much better than the original covers.

Bought 'The Hobbit' special edition blu-ray off of Amazon a few hours ago for only $19. I had planned on picking it up on blu-ray at Target tonight, but I saved $7-9 and received a better edition.

What a freakin' great film! The dark side of the spy world & MI6. Brosnan played a manipulative SOB all too well. An intense character study amidst an historically almost forgotten era. I'd highly recommend it to any fan of the genre.

It was. I loved the way Roger played ffolkes as a sexist misogynist dinosaur who does needlepoint. :))

@chrisisall, absolutely. His role is so raunchy and manipulative. He plays everyone so well. I love it.
