    I have expected this from the very first moment when John Logan said in 2012:
    "Bond always should fight Blofeld". And the idea of re-using the famous crime syndicate must have been on EON's mind ever since production of "Casino Royale" started. If they had retrieved the rights from McGlory earlier, then "QUANTUM" from the first two Bond films would have been "S.P.E.C.T.R.E."

    My expectations for the return of "Blofeld" and "S.P.E.C.T.R.E." were even sky-rocketing when Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said in the press late 2012/early 2013 that they got the rights back from "Blofeld" and "S.P.E.C.T.R.E." from the McGlory estate :-). There really was a Bond-esque feud going on between the Broccoli's and the McGlory's for decades. Kevin really was what Blofeld was to Bond. So in the end you'll have to see a revenge of some sort. Hence the 24th Bond film "SPECTRE".

    As soon as I've finished my current book - Guy Martin's Autobiography - I'm going to start the literary Bondathon! Great news about the Final Trailer coming out this month.

    Like @Birdleson I caught up in a perpetual Bondathon, post Skyfall. That film really reignited the love for the series. (Not that is was lacking mind you!) In October 2013, I started a Bondathon with the intention of watching one film per month until the release of Spectre. But naturally, I'm weak - not only I have been watching one film as scheduled, but I've also gone and re-watched the latter Bond films. Hey ho!

    You sure? release dates mention November 6th for the USA. But then November 5th for Canada? Anyway, if so, then here's the correction:

    My theatre's rather cool :D. It has arguably one of the best IMAX screens in Canada, and it takes the shape of a UFO!

    Awesome.

    Two cinemas in downtown Montreal with IMAX screens and ultraAvx screens are showing SP Thursday night. Will probably organize a get together with fellow Bond fans for the occasion.

    Actually it was about your routines ahead of the new Bond film, but hey ho.

    Well, it is under two months until the release of Spectre. So, I thought it was high time to inaugurate this little thread.

    I know many of us will be doing Bondathons. (Currently I only have 3 films left - Dr. No, From Russia With Love and On Her Majesty's Secret Service. And maybe the Craig trilogy in October)

    And you doing a Bondathon? What what about other media - the soundtracks, Bond reference books, or the "Making of" documentaries? And many more no doubt. And what about the original form of media - the Ian Fleming novels?

    For me, come September, I will be reading the Fleming novels, plus listening to the soundtracks. A couple of months of pure Bond, culminating in Spectre. (Naturally I will be quite "Bonded" out at that point, and will probably have a bit of a break from Bond!).

    This has been my routine since Casino Royale. What is yours?

    54 days 'til SP in Australia- not including the advance screening, which is one whole day less! Unfortunately the cinema I'm attending does not have a 9pm+ viewing- only 6:30 the latest. Perhaps this has something to do with the film's duration?

    Regarding routine- I'll just watch the films on the lead up, and try to time it so I finish SF minutes before leaving for the cinema.

    I have my tickets booked at my local Vue cinema. I am going to a 4K version and in VIP seating. Unfortunately, due to other commitments, I am unable to get there any earlier than Friday the 30th at 6:30pm . Very disappointing as I haven’t missed an opening night in years. So, for the days leading up to the Friday, I am going to have to avoid all spoilers etc. Man, that’s gonna be difficult.
