I love that bit too. Strangely some folks hate it, but if Q was a field agent he would treat gadgets more cavalierly, because they're only tools, means to an end.

Maybe he designed it as a one time use gadget and once it was done, into the trash it goes. ;)

He never jokes about his work, except in GoldenEye where him and Brozza have a laugh about it. That struck me as out of character, but Q did change a lot as the years went by.

Still, it's not as cool as the hoverbroom!

That hoverbroom is brilliant! How didn't anyone notice that when filming?

I think someone mentioned here that it was raised off the ground to prevent background noise, but why bother when you add the sounds in post-production?

Yeah, that sounds a bit strange. Even if this was the case, I guess the guy with the broom could have held it a little closer to the ground, though!

It's more likely due to continuity between the takes, what with potential dust and so that may go up in air.

Peeps, the hover broom is genuine, they perform that act in Haiti,it moves the dust without shooting it into the air.

    I mean it....look it up,it wasnt a mistake.

A little something I noticed on my last watch of Moonraker, which might be of interest to fellow Bond music nuts, if you haven't picked up on it already:

The film version of Flight Into Space features some extra notes sung by female voices. These are either flat out absent from the soundtrack album version or lost in the mix. To be precise:

    Film audio:
    http://picosong.com/w5nqT/

    Soundtrack version (5:05):

And speaking of differences between film audio and soundtrack albums, I'm reminded of Octopussy and the six extra bars featuring the Bond theme, which are heard in the palace fight scene (when Bond and Q show up in the balloon), but aren't present in the soundtrack. Recorded after the original cue was done and spliced in afterwards, I presume.

I have never noticed until this last re-watch of TLD that when Saunders is killed, there’s his blood running down the glass door. It will be to the furthest part of your left screen (Tim’s right side).

I've never noticed that there's a Pink Floyd poster in LTK during the bar fight. It's behind Pam. I love that band.

In LALD, at the end, I never noticed when Bond frees himself from the rope, Whisper says "look out!" Of course, since he's, well, Whisper, nobody can hear him.

I also didn't notice the sign hanging on a building at the port of San Monique:
    DR. KANANGA REMINDS
    THE TOURIST IS OUR FRIEND
    HIS WELFARE IS OUR CONCERN

How considerate of him, considering he's a murderous drug dealer.

I also noticed the Devil woman on the LALD poster is holding a voodoo doll of Bond (holding his PPK). Great touch. I'd never really taken a close look at that poster.

That's another sad touch we just don't get with modern Bond is some of those posters from that era had multiple little touches to them to admire and it was a pleasure to discover new things all the time.

When I was little, DAF was the first new Bond I saw in a theater and I recall standing outside the box office just staring at that poster of Connery Bond and taking in how cool and glamorous the world of James Bond was. And that has never left me.

I love that poster. Robert McGinnis really knows how to make fantastic artwork.

I never noticed before that Robert Shaw has a brief cameo in Casino Royale (1967). I'm not entirely sure it's him, but he looks a lot like Shaw.
He can be seen just before the UFO lands on Trafalgar square. At 1:47:34 (leftside of the frame).
Maybe someone could make a screenshot??

Up until SF and SP, all the epic finales of the films are set either in the villains' hideouts or neutral territory. Both SF and SP have it to where Bond/"good guys" are playing at home, so to speak.

I just realised that Alec brings back his pub line when he sees Bond again

    "Buy me a pint!"

    "Closing time James, last call."

I noticed that upon first viewing. Great callback to their last encounter. Everything about that scene is well done imho.

I love it too. Brosnan Bond at his best.

"Kill her. She means nothing to me"
**all while he's considering options on how to get the both of them out of the situation. Pure Bond.**

    "Lovely girl. Tastes like....like strawberries"
    "I wouldn't know"
"I would !" **Bean's enthusiasm here cracks me up**
"mm..." **love Xenia's playful interjection. Cheesy, but oh so good.**

Another reference to (the) Batman. You can get feeling that every moment Dracula can flying in, if you open it. Thirth ''blood'' element found of '' The coldest blood runs through my veins'' of CR (text) and text visible in SF. But this time what that hearts need and not in the maintitle, straight in to the movie (out of the shadow: reference to Dench M). Another you know my name for the blinds.
