Read something about a helicopter. Fake news?
That was supposed to be reserved for some war movie Eon is producing. Although, there's no evidence that war movie is in production.

Ah, I see. Could the lack of evidence of the war movie being in production mean that there is a slight chance this helicopter is meant for Bond 25?

    It's a thought, yes.
  • The helicopter is still undecided. Actually, according to Barbara Broccoli, everybody's ready to go, they're just waiting for the helicopter to make up its damn mind already.

The chap who sold the helicopter to them insisted that it was for B25, if I recall correctly.

    Hahaha! Good one!
Bit strange with a helicopter again, with the helicopter scene in Spectre and all? Still, there is probably many ways to use one.

Now that we're almost halfway through 2017, I think it's safe to say this will be another year like the last one to be a long distance of a desert with no news ahead.

Don't you think we should hear something by the end of this year? I would imagine that the distributor decision will be locked down in calendar Q3, and then we're off to the races.

    I sincerely hope so.

I miss Cubby. He was very eager to give the people what they wanted, which was more Bond. I recently saw an interview on the Moonraker blu-ray where he said that people at every moment requested more Bond and he felt obligated to get moving as fast as possible.

I miss him, too, but how would this forum react to his sincerely audience-pleasing ethos?

Not well, I'm thinking, though he's invoked by name to damn the latest missions.

I was just thinking - if they had gone ahead and done a back to back production of two films (which was apparently one of the ideas on the table pre-SP), we might have actually had a film this year.

And Craig would be dead from suicide.

Wrist slash? I certainly hope not.

I think we were getting more rumblings a few months ago compared to now. What's going on? There's usually all sorts flying around by now.

Distribution deal. Perhaps going in previously unforseen directions. All hush hush while it's nailed down.

Some more from Dave Batista on whether or not he thinks Mr. Hinx will return.

He also reveals that in SP, "Shit!" was followed by a line from Bond which was cut. And that he later had to dub the line to sound less American.

Glad they left Bonds line out would be approaching Moonraker levels of camp.

Slight bit of a pun and it's camp to you? Wow.

This is cool, his commenting on the Spectre table read makes me think they just filmed it, and put it in the movie ;P

Craig's line was awesome! It wasn't even really a pun, just irony; wish they'd have kept it, personally. Obviously it wouldn't really have led well into what happens next though.

Just finished listening to it. Really great audio, cool insights into the man and the people he's worked with and the process and all that. Thank you for sharing @Red_Snow!

Have to say after watching Graham Norton the other night, I quite liked Charlie Hunnam! No idea what it is? But if and when DC hangs his holster up? Which I hope will be Bond 25? He seems to me that he could carry on the hard hitting Bond style?

That's just it, @RogueAgent I don't think they will continue the hard hitting Bond after Craig. It's about time for a fun Bond, I'd say.

Sp WAS a fun Bond. How much more camp do you want? Or is it that you think, Turner cannot deliver that? The hard hitting, that is.

That was a great interview from Bautista. A solid guy, and it's great to hear that he knows his Bond too.
  • I love how the table read for SP was in a giant royal hall with catered food and drinks, and how the interviewer says it's "like they're spending more money on the table read than most movies' whole budgets." I think Mendes was going for the Guinness World Record for most expensive table read. ;)

Fantastic interview though. Lotta cool information. That's great that Bautista's audition tape was reenacting the chair torture scene in Casino Royale. And I dig how straight-shooting Bautista is, admitting he doesn't like Cavill as Superman at all. "He's just sooo dry."

And who made the call to remove that brilliant line of Craig's??? That would have been killer. Bautista's "Shit" just kind of hangs there as is; Craig's punchline would have given it meaning.

If I may ask, what was the line (for those of us not inclined to listen to the interview)?
