    Maybe Nolan has had enough time away from a major franchise by now? He has always had a think for Bond, as you can tell from watching his movies.

    Nolan means we're going to get something truly special. Mendes will be soon forgotten. Having said that, I don't believe it's legit (although I'm hoping).

    I wonder how much of a Fleming purist Nolan is? He seems to like the more outlandish aspects, but based on his work Batman I think he would want to be true to the source.

    Why would Guy Haines have any respect for Bond's abilities, rather than think he was promoted beyond them and can be played like a cheap violin by Quantum or Spectre?

    These sorts of things aren't at all out of line, especially in a Bond film.

    I still say I am pulling for Paul directing and Daniel as 007 but Nolan coming in with either Fassbender or Hardy as bond would make me very happy

    I agree - that's the rule. But no rule is without exceptions. I'm not blown away the idea, but there are certainly worse choices, and many of them.

    Campbell remains my first choice, by far.

    This is nothing more than a rumor like any other, and should be treated as such.

    While Nolan isn't my first choice, I can't say that I wouldn't get excited at the prospect of a Nolan-Craig Bond film.

    If Nolan gets the Bond gig, then Skyfall will be a lighthearted drama flick in comparison to what Nolan will offer and I am not keen on that in the slightest. Au Contraire.
