As long as it takes 26 out of this thread, I and the others will be fine. Just see to it please and be as no nonsense about it as you are right now. Then its all good and mission accomplished.

    Plus I am not spamming.

  • That's good (free) Bond marketing! :D

Actually, not free. Costs $30,000 or so. But, I suppose that's a relatively small expenditure.

Not sure if this was posted already..

Jeffrey Wright did a AMA on Reddit today for Westworld..

"Any word on the next Bond? Have you been approached? You’re a fantastic Felix.
    jfreewright: It's possible. Thanks."

As a mod, @jake24 , I have just answered this in a PM to one of your peers. There is no fight. It was done in humour-- reading as such is an overreaction when you hear the context of my reply.

And lets leave this as it is-- done.

    Best,

Intriguing. I would adore having his Felix back.

Having Jeffrey Wright back as Felix would be a fantastic choice for craig's final bond film!

I think many would like to see Wright return as Felix.
It would be a series first to have the same Leiter for the same tenure of a Bond actor.
    Let's hope this happens.

I'm sure that if he returns, Felix Leiter could get a part 2 of the Dynamite Comics. Could Bond 25 have the most role reprisals since Moonraker? The list is almost endless, for a 007 film at least!

Despite being disappointed initially, I definitely have faith in Boyle. He has the potential to deliver an incredible Bond film, but it all depends on what this golden idea entails. I look forward to finding out more, but none of the story or casting rumours have me excited in the slightest.

I'm definitely interested to know if we can expect a return from the MI6 regulars.

I'm hoping that the one lesson EoN can learn from LOGAN- and I don't want Logan/Bond .25- is that, to @jake24's point: they don't need to bring back the regulars (of the Scooby Gang).

LOGAN proved that you can have the mains (Logan and Prof. X), and respect the past (in the Bond-verse, it's MP and Q), without showing them (a la CR and QoS). Mention them, sure, but we don't need these guys in the story. Not in the Craig-verse. At. All.

    That's a Mendes re-birth.

And does not to be in B25.

It would be interesting if he did indeed help Lucia, and if that is a plot point of some sort.

I wonder if Felix is teasing us. Remember his Tweet a while ago with him as Felix?

I most definitely would welcome the return of Felix Leiter as portrayed by Wright.
So far this may be the only rumor regarding B25 I like.

Please take the future B26 discussion to the threads @Creasy47 listed. A Bond 26 thread will undoubtedly reach 500 pages before Bond 25 is even released, so there's no sense in making one for a while.

    Back on topic.

A thread that will reach 500 pages in a short time irrelevant? Oh well , logic rules.

@major. I have nothing against the next actors thread as the next one will come.

To me it still seems, the majority wants a 26 thread and dont get it.
Its absolutely stupid to say, if you have 26, why nor 27,28 etc. what has that to do with one another?

You want to talk about Bond#26, when Bond#25 is months away from filming. So why do you think it is stupid to talk about all films beyond Bond#26, and all any beyond Bond#25 (which again, hasn't even started filming, and wont for what... 6 maybe 7 months).

95% of the comments in this thread are irrelevant whether discussing Bond 25 , Bond 26 or anything else. It's how these things go.

We have links now on Page 1 to all the many threads about Bond 26. That will do for now. When the time is right for a specific Bond 26 thread, we will open one.

    A genuine Felix Leiter... illuminating!

Sorry couldn't resist. I would certainly like it if Wright returns. If so, I hope that is also an indication they return to the CR/QOS tone.

    Now i want a trilogy....
I have an idea: Kara Milovy is a god-awful Bond girl. I hope the B25 girl will be nothing like her.

I'd be ecstatic if Wright returned as Leiter. He has a natural charm and marvellous screen-chemistry with Craig. I enjoy how they pitted Leiter as a friendly-enemy of Bond's. Both the modern Bond and Leiter are allies but appreciate they represent different world interests. It be a shame if Wright didn't return in either Craig's last Bond film or even the next actor's run. (I also really like his smooth voice)

Also in recent photos, he looks exactly the same. So no need to wait for him to grow the beard out.
    jeffrey-wright.jpg?w=1000&h=563&crop=1

One actor, I think could make a great Felix, (and who happens to be working with Barbara Broccoli currently on Rhythm Section) is Sterling K Brown...but it's Wright's gig to loose.

Also, considering the casting rumours are beginning to mount up....I was curious if I was the only one who missed the early Craig era where we were treated to less familiar European actors? I'm all for more starry casts, but there was always something exciting when you heard that slighty more obscure names like Mads Mikklesen, Eva Green, Mathieu Amalric and Olga Kurylenko were involved. They were all actors who were known at home, but less so to Western audiences.

Now we almost expect to hear names like Helena Bonham Carter and Jodie Foster. I miss seeing European actors who I could seek out and learn more about international cinema through. It's not a criticism, but I hope Bond 25 has some surprising/exciting casting announcements. I really won't be able to stand the thought of another boring Christoph Waltz-esque casting rumour.

Also, Emma Freud (Richard Curtis's partner) has confirmed that the Danny Boyle/Beatles film has three weeks left to shoot

Hopefully not, except for M in a small capacity. Also, fingers crossed for Wright's return.

Yes, lesser know Euro actors, stick with. These rumors are really just tabloid click bait though... we'll see what Boyle and Craig decide.
