    FYI: Barnes and Noble is having the second part of their semi-annual Criterion 50% off sale this month (November). And to celebrate “Noirvember”, I picked up Nicholas Ray’s “They Live By Night.”

    PS: At the Barnes and Noble that I visited, they had a large display of the “James Bond Collection” DVDs/Blu-Rays.

    I can't get my VHS player to work any more unfortunately. It only seems to play the sound but not the picture.

    I just ordered The Stand (1994 6hr mini-series, blu-ray). Digitally restored. New, cleaned up establishing shots replacing the poor quality video that was in economic vogue back in the 90's. I CAN'T WAIT!!!

    Sounds like Ford got around. Yeah this was a fun noir. I liked it almost as much as GILDA if not as much.

    I didn't even realize NTTD was already on VUDU for purchase, so I just now added that and made myself a neat, complete Bond film playlist in my virtual library. Feels so good to see a complete collection with a completed era! Now I can skip the individual DVD release to wait until the full physical collection (only a matter of time, right?) gets a release for the satisfying feeling of the bookend eras in a full set.
