  Interesting that this pistonheads article appears to confirm that the DB5 on show at Silverstone last week was the prototype Goldfinger continuation DB5; so the first of the 25 brand new DB5s they're building for very rich folk (£3m each!):

  It’s funny: I’ve been to a few Aston events and after a while you actually get a bit bored of seeing Aston Martins everywhere! :D
  
  I did go to a Jaguar event there a few years ago while the Bond in Motion exhibit was there, and they had a DAD Zao XKR turn up, which was funny because there was one inside in the exhibit too! I doubt there have been two of those in the same place for quite a while :)

  As a former Mark 2 owner I'd say that's still the best looking one after the 1 😉 strongly disliked the III, from IV on they're OK with me.

  To me the design is kind of "meh" for all of them, although the Mk I is an absolute classic. Giugiaro actually wanted square headlamps.

  Iirc the last of the II's had square headlights as well? Plenty had double ones too.

  I wouldn't remember...and if they had doubles, it would probably have been due to unofficial "tuning" parts (unless you're thinking of the Scirocco I, which was in fact a beauty in its own right...while it withstood the rust assault). Then of course, the ill-fated rucksack version called Jetta had rectangular headlights. Didn't help. And I also think VW's decision to equip the original Golf with round headlights was wise. Made it at least marginally appear like a worthy successor to the Beetle.
