I thought Jeremy Renner played The Punisher, and Mark Ruffalo was actually Black Widow?

No, there's no Punisher in the MCEU. There's a Bernthal guy who is playing Batman with guns, but no Punisher that I know of. Mark Ruffalo's character was at one time screwing Black Widow in the films, but he is actually playing a green version of The Thing from Fantastic 4 that Marvel had to pay Fox to own. It's a bit messy to get into the particulars, but that's the gist of it.

So......I just listened to Elfman's score for JUSTICE LEAGUE.

    A1lsDc0AZTL._SY355_.jpg

At least I'll definitely have one thing to complain about. VERY disappointing.

Elfman even somehow manages to completely suck you out of the whole experience as a fan by quoting the main theme from THE AVENGERS of all things.

I see. Thanks for the clarification. I haven t been reading up on any of it.

@Thunderfinger, no problem. As far as I know, that 2003 issue was all that is concerning Ben right now, and that really seems to have died out as he sent out an apology and has made good with Hilarie Burton and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, her husband (and awkwardly enough, the guy who plays Thomas Wayne in the DCEU). I did a quick look and nothing is being said about anything else in relation to Ben, so I appear to have been right that it all stopped there. I understand the confusion though, as so many accusations are coming out now, including Ben's relation Casey Affleck, who you may've confused Ben with. Casey has a history of the kinds of assault/harassment that is now coming out in light of the Weinstein situation, and he may be one of the next actors to follow in the footsteps of what happened with Spacey, where the controversy around them sees them losing jobs in the industry, etc.

That is probably right. I must have read Affleck somewhere, and only one Affleck springs to mind.

The OG justice league and Batman theme were prettt cool in the final battle. I expected more. There’s no solid “Batman track”. It’s more like you get a 5 second glimpse. Batman v Superman’s batman theme was better.

I had a glimpse at the soundtrack and listened to a portion of it...

...Same generic modern day cheap soundtrack as it sounds. Nothing you'd expect from someone like Danny Elfman.

As did I. I love the old themes but it just feels so wrong here, and even disregarding that feeling, they are still somehow the highlights of the score.

I really can't get my head past that Avengers theme reference during the final battle track. The fact that it comes after a statement of Elfman's Batman theme makes it stick out even more for me.

Regarding whether there will be an end credit scene after JL or not.
At the 6:50 mark of this interview, Jason Momoa seemingly confirms there is a end credit sequence after JL.
I imagine it will be an Aquaman teaser. Perhaps our first look at Black Manta and Ocean Master?

Asher Angel, one of the leads on Disney Channel’s Andi Mack, has snagged the role of Billy Batson opposite Zachary Levi in New Line’s DC superhero movie Shazam!

    I didn't realize these clowns...
were doing end credit scenes as well. Can't they be a little more original?

True. What's the incentive? None. Easier to follow what works elsewhere I suppose.

I suppose that's one way to look at it. I just figure post credit scenes are pretty much expected after comic book movies now days, regardless of studio. Why reinvent the wheel?

Listening to Justice League score I think it's pretty good, baring in mind I have listened to numerous scores over the years before I watched the film, so when being able to match scenes to the music it usually enhances a score further.

I'll admit I geeked out at 52 minutes onward Major Spoilers

Fair enough. I personally would prefer DC to take a different approach and create their own way to tease out a future film but no big deal.

Definitely retcon with JL and based on 42 mins into the score, I am guessing that's Evil Superman vs Flash which I am hoping for

In the interest of spoiler avoidance, I'm taking my leave from this thread until I see the film. Hopefully my first post when back is a positive one.

@DaltonCraig007, I haven't checked into that thread for a while now, largely because I wanted to avoid Blade Runner 2049 spoilers when it first came out. The shame of it is that the movie never played in my area anyway because it got ripped from theaters so fast so it was pointless to avoid spoilers.

I never got to see it either. It lasted only a week in my local cinema and I kept meaning to travel to see it but it just never happened for me.

Yeah, that was shocking to me, @CraigMooreOHMSS. I haven't looked into how the film performed to avoid spoilers for the film itself, but from what I do know it didn't seem to perform well at all and I've seen it referred to as a bomb numerous times.

Funny it only lasted a week where you're at, when the biggest theater near my nowhere town didn't even have any plans to screen it whatsoever. I even did a wider search to see if any theaters within my county were showing it, and still nothing came up. That really bums me out, not only because the film did as badly as I worried it would, but also because I really wanted to see it on the big screen.

What a damn shame that is. I actually debated seeing it again MAYBE two weeks after release, and struggled to find a lot of showtimes in my area for it, which is something typically reserved for the summer months when so much is releasing. Such a shame it didn't perform well in theaters at all.
