Thank you @Dwayne and also to you @Venutius for your contribution.
Is it just me, or is the last shot above photoshopped? Where are the girls feet?
Still an awesome shot either way, makes me want to watch TB again. ;)

It certainly is photoshopped, because the original looks like this:

While at it, I was surprised to see that a few minutes on the search engine unearthed even more material:

Sean you were a lucky, lucky man. B-)

Does this mean that there was a female "00" before TWINE?

And thanks @Benny. This thread always puts a smile on my face.
Who was the female 00 in TWINE?

There was a female agent in the briefing scene in the scottish castle. I don't think she has any dialogue but she isn't "hidden" like the obe in TB.

What's about the picture with Connery, a woman (who is she?) and the shark holding his head out of the pool? Is this a dead shark? I thought I read somewhere that they used a dead one for the moment where the shark swims to Bond right before he leaves the shark pool.

I think it's his wife, Diane Cilento.

That's quite a collection you have there @Benny , and even though I google quite a lot for behind the scenes images, there are many I have not seen. Any tricks up your sleeve, like newspaper archives etc.?

@zebrafish the only trick I have is going through pages and pages of images trying to find any that are relevant or unseen.
It's a passion project that borders on an obsession. ;) I really do enjoy searching them though, even if it does take a lot of time and patience.

If you like BTS images and you haven't seen it before, then I recommend Thunderballs.org- it's a pretty incredible resource.

The several BTS photos of Connery and Saltzman posted here make me a bit sad. On the face of it, their relationship changed soon after.

Q with an explosive spear tip - one of four different types, presumably to be used during the underwater battle. Seen in bts pics of Bond's equipment laid out across the table in Pinder's shop, but uncertain if seen in the film. Bond's scuba jetpack had two, albeit different designs again, which he fires during the battle.

I agree with your assessment of Connery and Salzman. Lovely to see them sharing some moments of conversation and joy. I do wonder why we don't have McClory photos? Was he hands off, or steering the ship? I always thought he was hands on and I know he appears in a cameo so clearly he was present.

The women of Thunderball haven't been topped in my opinion, and I am not merely suggesting looks. They could all act. Fiona is still to this day one of my favourite characters and an example of a female that could stand up to Bond. Domino has the right balance of innocence and you can see why Bond would fall for her. Even Paula gets some wonderful scenes in the movie.

I did find a few images with Kevin McClory online, but as you can see, there aren't as many as you might think.

The one with Cubby, Harry and McClory in the office is apparently an actress testing for Domino. I thought it was pretty cool.
Posting the last of the behind the scenes Thunderball images later today.

Okay, sadly it's time to wrap up Thunderball (unless anyone has some to add), I must say this has been a really fun to look back at.

Love those last shots of Connery and Domino on the Disco Volante. A shame that the scene wasn't saved. Would have been interesting to see how and what was shared on the boat between the characters. My understanding is that this scene helped to establish that the bombs weren't on board?
