I've always enjoyed looking back at making of photos, and behind the scenes images from the Bond series.

    Good point. And as far as I can tell, they stayed friends till Sean's passing.

    Ursula really was the perfect lead female character for this film. She's a stunning beauty and the chemistry with Sean was off the charts.

    The effortless cool of Connery is captured in some of these photos too. Also noticing how thin he was for this film. Perhaps it's all the shirtless photos, but in FRWL he looks to have beefed up, but perhaps it was the threads?

    Great shots there, @Benny, lots I've never seen before. I think the majority of BTS stuff I've seen from DN include the shots of Connery on the beach playing around or signing autographs. Seeing Wiseman, in color, waiting to film is awesome.

    Yes, indeed. Seeing these BTS shots really emphasises that there was actual physical and personal chemistry between them in a way that can't be faked or manufactured. It clearly wasn't something that was 'on the page', it leaps right out of these photographs at you. Ursula and Connery were a hell of a good match. Perfect casting.

    I'm so glad that scene with the crabs was cut. For Indiana Jones it's snakes, for me it's crabs. Seeing that picture made me leap out of my skin.

    I haven't been ignoring this since the 1960s, without even seeing DN until much, much later. It was a major occurrence in my puberty when my cousin, one year older than me, showed me the Playboy photoset of "Undressed Andress" (or something like that) when I was about 13.

    Of course you Generation Z people couldn't have had that experience.

    Absolutely. I've got lifelong brunette tunnel vision, but there's something fantastically primal about Ursula in these photographs. What a woman.

    For some of us on this site, DN was our introduction to Bond. We were young. Connery was young. It's great seeing him having fun and seeming to be accessible. Always my favorite Bond, but I've always had the impression in later years that he was probably the least approachable of the Bond actors. RM has always seemed to be the one a Bond fan might fine the most charming and approachable. Still, fabulous pix. The first of four films that feel to me more 'Bondish' than anything since. Looking forward to FRWL.

    Only a couple more day till we move onto From Russia With Love, so enjoy the shots of Ursula while you can. ;)
    She really was an absolute stunner, and really added much more to the film and series than she maybe gets credit for. Maybe not.

    Are they all dead in those photos then?

    In the Inside documentary Ursula says they were frozen and Peter Hunt says they were half-dead. Regardless, to me she's the bravest woman in the world.

    I wonder what Bond was supposed to do when he came to rescue Honey. Was he going to kick them out of the way or just try not to disturb them?
