    wow OP and TLD - 2 of my favourites.

    And LALD and SF - 2 Of my less favoured entries

    TLD just pips OP but it's razor edged.

    And LALD beats SF fairly easily just because of the Rog factor.

    OP vs TLD - I've never been the biggest fan of TLD. There are some absolutely wonderful moments, particularly at the start in Bratislava and Vienna, but whiny Kara and Afghanistan, along with completely buffoon-like villains ruin it for me. Dalts is great though. OP in contrast has perhaps the best villain roster (along with LALD & FRWL), Rog in fighting form, some great pace from start to finish and that fabulous bomb sequence. OP for the win.

    LALD vs SF - this is a very tough call as I like both immensely. LALD is one of the most charismatic Bond films imho, and has mentioned, has one of the best set of villains in Bondom. The stuntwork during that boat chase is amazing too. There's also the lovely Jane Seymour, the fantastic George Martin score, the fabulous title song (my fave along with NDIB) and one of the best Bond performances of all (imho) by Sir Rog. SF on the other hand has one phenomenal villain who makes the film and carries it to greatness, an impossibly sultry and beautiful Bond girl (Marlohe and not Dench or Harris please), a great Newman debut score (imho), and cinematography to die for, courtesy of the legendary Roger Deakins. Daniel Craig gives a great performance which suits the film's tone and character perfectly. The much maligned Samuel Mendes directs with authority, getting the best out of his actors and characterizations. Darn tough call, but I'm going to give this one to SF...just.

    The first is very, very, very close. I really do like both. I think it's TLD.

    I'm beginning to enjoy LALD much more in my aging years, BUT SF beats it handily.

    Wow, these are both very close. On any given day I might pick the other way around.

    TLD wins the battle of the Glens, but OP is a very worthy competitor.

    LALD     by a hair over SF. I could make a case for both though.
