    If we can go outside the series and if MR had been made as a film in decade(1950s) it was written in, then Jean Simmons. When I read MR, she is who I envision Gala would be like.

    Seems like Claudine Auger is a really popular choice. Personally I can t see anyone but Carole Bouquet as Melina. She is perfect for it.
