Wow. Did not expect to see that in a Moore film

Watched the Moore double bill today. Is it just me or is there a hand in the aquarium when Bond is touring Atlantis

Remember, the open lift trap got her and then the shark had it's fill...yum yum.

She is the one who stole the microfilm and wanted to put it on the market, but Stromberg found that she had stolen something from him.

I always loved the way Curd says penalty. That and Bond, which sounds like 'Mr. Bund'

Would have been an appropriate moment for a Moore one-liner:

    "Hand-some specimen."
"I must give you a hand, Stromberg."
"Bach is fine and dandy, but I prefer Hand-el myself."

    Or "Is it second-hand?"

Maybe I'm not paying close enough attention but in TLD Bond parachutes onto the rock of Gibraltar in the PTS but later in the PTS he parachutes out of the back of the Jeep. Is there such thing as having a multiple chute pack or did he acquire another pack that I missed.

Someone with much more knowledge of aerial accessories please help :)

Still movie magic, but it's a reserve parachute on hand after the main was deployed and discarded. Can't be too careful.

Thanks @RichardTheBruce ! His pack does look very neat and tidy for having the main chute deployed already.

Maybe it's like one of those Star Trek 2009 parachutes you can reuse until it's damaged. :P

I'd have to re-watch it, but I think the second one was packed in the Land Rover.

    It's a reserve parachute.

I must admit that I have noticed this a couple of years ago, but I was wondering if folks over here spotted this too (probably most did). I have to giggle every time I see it...

It is in FYEO, during the ski chase in Cortina. Bond jumps over the terrace, quickly followed by a bad guy on motorcycle that crashes through the railing. Then after the second bad guy races over the terrace, you see a shot of a waiter smashing his tray right in the face of an innocent tourist who simply was trying to relax in his comfortable chair.

Once seen it cannot be unseen. :)

    You can spot it in this video (2:02);

Wow, I've never noticed that before, and it looks like the waiter is doing it completely on purpose, and with as much strength as possible. That's rich.

In Skyfall during the inquiry shootout, a police officer gets shot by Silva and then again a bit later. Must be one of the rare times that an extra doesn't immediately die from a gunshot wound in a Bond film. (It also makes sense because he wore a bulletproof vest.)

This isn't a direct connection to the Bond films, but I find it amusing that Daniel Craig starred in a comedy called Hotel Splendide six years before he appeared in Casino Royale, which has Hotel Splendide as the location the spy lays up at while on the mission.

I always wondered why Jack Wade never made any reference to the plant life in TND? In GoldenEye he has that tattoo, he mentions gardening, and later on smells the trees when he arrives with the plane. Yet no mention in TND. The only plants are the ones on his clothes.

You're right. His TND introduction should've been him hiding in a tree, paranoid, with a fat joint in one hand and a book on botany in the other.

He stopped talking about plants because he became the plant. ;)
  • They were on the ocean. I suppose he could have been munching on kelp as he approached Bond.

Something you can't un-notice once you see it is the size of Max Kalba's nose. His nose is huge.

    That's a hawk-nose worthy of Sherlock Holmes.

    That's 'snot' funny ...
  • Sorry if this one has been noticed before - Blofeld's guards in the pre-credit sequence of DAF both appear in OHMSS. Terry Mountain appears as Raphael, the Draco goon who fights Bond on the beach in the pre-credit sequence and the other (unknown?) fights Bond in the bell shed after the first ski chase.

I knew about the guy with the long sideburns being in both, but didn't realize that was Terry Mountain in DAF. Although I'm sure it wasn't intentional it's a nice bit of continuity for fans. Makes you wonder if the defection of Draco's henchmen to Blofeld continued with Terry's character going over there.

    Of course it was intentional.
  • I am sure it is Terry who is the Blofeld henchman that is shot by Bond on the staircase in the volcano - just before Bond's set to with Hans. He's certainly been about.

Nice find. Terry Mountain would make for a great henchman name thinking about it. His family name anyway.
