Really the title?
Apparently it is
007 NEW WORK
The most amusing part is how Purvis and Wade have been so vocal about their lack of enthusiasm for penning further Bond scripts. In media interviews after both Quantum of Solace and Skyfall, the duo repeatedly indicated they were bored of writing Bond films, opined that their "well had run dry," and eagerly anticipated the future day when they could move on from the franchise. There was one red carpet interview for Skyfall where their distaste for penning further Bond scripts is expressed: They firmly proclaimed they had no desire to return.
Yet we still have fans on this forum championing them. Why defend a writing duo who have been frank about their lack of enthusiasm for the Bond franchise? It makes no sense. It's akin to staunchly defending a whiny, unappreciative girlfriend who openly belittles you in public and tells everyone she is tired of being with you.
At least PWB seems genuinely excited about writing for Bond. One can't say the same for P&W based on their many previous interviews. They have been quite honest about their boredom.
Whichever person keeps hiring P&W does warrant criticism, yes, without a doubt. There are thousands of talented screenwriters, most of whom would likely give their right arm to write scripts for the Bond franchise. But, rest assured, P&W will undoubtedly be back for Bond 26, 27, 28, 29, etc.
I agree. According to Some Kind of Hero, Martin Campbell tried to have them fired from Casino Royale, unless they came up with better material.
Many other beloved franchises (Star Trek, Star Wars, Dr. Who, Ghostbusters, and now the MCU) have been infected/destroyed by SJW agendas. Why would Bond be any different?
For all we know, Eon may have decided on a title and are withholding it. I suspect that there are a number of different opportunities available:
Eon could reveal something on the 007 website and perhaps even release a photo of Daniel Craig as James Bond to coincide with the announcement. This could theoretically happen at any time. However, it's probably the least impactful way to release the title.
After 'Endgame' 'Rise of Skywalker' there is a trend emerging. It would make sense for Bond to follow suit. Plus it's almost certain to be the most buzzworthy way to generate interest in the film. The question then is 'when' will it come online. Typically studios release trailers alongside big films that they also release. MGM/Annapurna don't really have any 'big' upcoming releases upcoming. However, Universal have a very big film in 'Hobbs and Shaw' debuting August 2nd. This seems the most likely.
Therefore, we'd get a trailer around 3 months into shooting. Which is around a month earlier than SF and SP. Will there be enough in the can to make an exciting trailer? Perhaps not. So don't go thinking this is a foregone conclusion.
On both SF and SP they released BTS videos giving fans the 'first look' of the film around three months into production (prior to the trailer's release). Perhaps this 'video' will be the opportunity for the cast to talk about how 'great' Jamaica is as a location and how 'great' filming has been going so far, etc. The reveal being the title at the end. It would generate buzz, but perhaps not quite as much as a trailer reveal.
Nonetheless, it's Eon style to usually reveal these BTS videos prior to any trailers coming out. Therefore, it appears more likely that we'd see such a video first before a trailer. Though there's a chance we'd see such a video without a title confirmed. Also, looking at how Eon have operated in the past is not decisive when considering what they'll do this time.
We know they'll be filming in Italy, with a car chase rumoured. Eon make a habit of inviting entertainment journalists and film blogs to the sets of al the DC films. Perhaps another press reveal is on the cards? This seems the most unlikely after the middling response to the Jamaica live-stream.

So where does Swann fit in now? Is he cheating on her? Or did they split up, only to be reunited?
Thanks for your response and list. I think they prove my point--only Bond film was actually scripted by one person (LALD--not one of the best scripts either!). The rest might be credited to one person, but there were always uncredited writers, not to mention interventions from the director (Peter Hunt claimed, quite creditably, that he also worked on the script of OHMSS).
Exactly. Mainstream Hollywood films are almost never written by one person. There are always polishes, minor revisions, major revisions, and so on from other writers. As Preston Sturges once said, writers are treated like piano movers in Hollywood. The modern Bond films are no different.
Purvis and Wade certainly have their flaws (Brofeld for one, though to P&W's credit, some of their drafts entirely avoided that) but treating them as scapegoats is implausible when one considers that they do not have final say over the script--the producers and director do.
Very good questions.
We really haven't seen much of Swann. She will probably die pretty quick.
They are in an open arrangemet. She gave Bond permission to dip his ice cream stick in a chocolare cup.
"Code Number 007" would be a better title imo...
Bad mental image 🤣😑
Hm?
She isn t my type either, so Bond can bed her as much as he likes.
By that logic I guess now I know why Silva didn't go all the way with his flirtations and bed Bond in Skyfall because Javier Bardem simply isn't my type... Christ. Despite the depths of the forums, such shallow pools. I'm sure Lashana will do an admirable job performing the role in which she was likely cast due to her abilities as an actress , whether her character hooks up with Bond or not, or whether she is people's "type" or not.
Very relevant to modern times.
I just want something truly threatening plot that destroys the world again.
@HalfOfEverything Bond isn't gay.
I, for one, think Bond should stay away from 'tech' plotlines for a while. It's hard to make them compelling.
