More bogus rumors hopefully. I really do like Charlize Theron, but I hope she’s never in a Bond movie... along with all the other a-listers.

I’m surprised if invites went out last week to the media that no one’s been able to confirm day and time of the press event...

Sworn to secrecy (for whatever reason)? Unlikely though.

If its in Jamaica, it would seem expensive to fly out all the UK press for the title and cast announcement.

Perhaps all the UK press interviews etc are either already done or are being done this week before the cast/crew fly out, and they're under embargo on the whole thing.

So a web cast launch with local press and the UK stuff already done?

At this point, I will only believe it when I see it.

They flew people out for the Skyfall press conference in Turkey didn't they?

I don't have anything against product placements in Bond films. Fleming was always vocal about brands that Bond is encountering and using in his novels.

I'm a bit confused as to whether or not production's actually starting in Jamaica. It would make sense to coincide a press event with that, if everyone's already on location. But I feel like we'd have heard about it by now if they were -- locations being secured, building in place, crew moving.

I guess the current bet is that they'd fly out core cast, crew and press for a PC in Jamaica -- and then fly back to Pinewood to kick off shooting? Before return to Jamaica in late May/June?

    Hmm. Seems a bit convoluted.

It seems as though Scott Z Burns did a Q&A last night and spoke about Bond 25. Though the poster isn't revealing much:

In other news, I watched the first series of Fleabag and it's a seriously great show. It's genuinely hilarious, moving, melancholic and charming. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is a true talent.

It's online and it's FREE! So do yourself a favour and watch it. It's very bingeable:

I think she should even have a role in the film. She's so funny. Also, found this great video:

Same here. To me, it's part of the world Fleming established, so seeing Bond's watch, clothing, or talking about a certain drink don't bother me in the slightest.
  • QBranchQBranch Always have an escape plan. Mine is watching James Bond films.

    B25:

Confirmed or assumed to be in:

    Aston Martin
    Jaguar/Land Rover
    Bollinger
Heineken (hopefully also sub-brand Red Stripe - would be a nice throwback)
    Marks & Spencer
    Omega
    Walther

    Likely:

    Tom Ford
    Univo

    Possibly:

Samsung (possible Sony replacement?, considering Moneypenny's phone in SP was Samsung)

They are right about a beautiful Italian actress...

Are they going back to Monica Bellucci, by any chance?

Oh crap wrong discussion hahaha

I mean tbh, I'd rather them than have another movie wasted on Lucia Sciarra...
  • They should bring back Maria Grazia Cucinotta (cigar girl) from TWINE for a role. She is 50 now, could play a new character of course. :D

She may be 50, but she aged like a fine wine.

Linda Cardellini. She was great in 'Green Book', she's hot, and she has the right age.

Whey you manage to get cast as Velma and outshine Daphne, you're indeed an excellent breed, to put it delicately.

Gillian Anderson and Charlize Theron as a rebooted Wint and Kidd? Or as the Spang sisters?
