@Birdleson, I know what you mean. One of the most fun parts of my childhood and teen years was finding the Bond movies on VHS and DVD when I could. Hunting for the older films was like a treasure hunt and when I did find each film It was a huge victory. Now I have them all on bluray thanks to a single box set, the challenge in hunting them is gone. And while I'd like to get the latest film nearly after it comes out less than 3 months for a home release is way too soon.

We do get these beautiful restorations in the proper aspect ratio. But, I do miss the hunt (used book stores, used record stores, comic shops). Amazon and eBay have made such things obsolete.

Ahh the memories. I remember finding some of the films in Dollar Stores, Pottery Stores and other strange places, but when I went to places like Best Buy, they never had them. Finding the Special Edition DVD's was hard enough. I just ordered Thunderball because that's the only special edition DVD I don't have.

Nolan would suck all the fun out of Bond and not to mention bring on the Blandest composer working today. Pass Pass PASS!!! Big directors don't always mean good movies.

Say what you want but I want a Bond in reality, and Hans Zimmer is one of the best modern composers.

I'm sure there are many composers who can bring a reality driven Bond movie that won't make you feel bored and depressed once it's over. No to Nolan.

Nolan will just give us more Mendes. The idea of either being involved in the next Bond film makes me want to heave.

Just imagine Warner will demote Snyder and put him in charge of Bond 25.
You'll beg to get Mendes back.

According to the IMDB listing for Bond 25, Daniel Craig is the only one 'rumored' to be playing Bond :)

IMDB isn't a trustworthy site, as it can be edited by anyone, like Wikipedia.

I think that was the point I was making @Creasy47 - keep up lad

I'm sure Craig would gladly sign on for 4 Bond films directed by Snyder and beat Sir Rog's record. How relaxing it must be knowing 80% of the film will be filmed in front of green screen?

I'm still trying to work out which is more likely, 2018 or 2019. I never was very good with probabilities. :-?

We're aware of that. The codename theory is beyond all logical reason but still you entertain it as being credible.

No. Snyder would probably want a spin on it and make Bond a pacifist.

It is beyond logic, but so is the continuity theory that most fans (me included) believe. In this film series logic =/= credibility. You're caring too much if you try to make everything make perfect sense, it doesn't, and thats ok. Immsorry, but it has its logical flaws as well. I don't understand why folks get sooo worked up over this. Yes, as dumb as I find the codename theory, I don't think you cant be a fan if u buy it. To each his own.

You didn't allude to it whatsoever, so I didn't know.

@BondJasonBond006, I would absolutely be begging for Mendes to return if Snyder was chosen as the director for 'Bond 25.'

If we all know that, why do you state that IMDB lists him as rumored, as if you're attempting to use that site as evidence? Once again, wasn't clear to me.

Oh dear, I wasn't using it as evidence my whole point in stating it was that is NOT evidence, oh my word ... precisely because it mentions no Elba (rumored), Hiddlestone (rumored) etc. Gosh maybe I should have spelt out what I meant than hoping people would get subtlety,

You're acting like subtlety or sarcasm is impossible to miss online, which is not the case. Wait...if your point was in stating that it's not evidence...why would you bring it up in the first place, then? Anyway, moving on.

just forget it @Creasy47 who cares? It's not really something that's important, it was just an off the cuff remark which you didn't get. So move on amigo, friend, dear one, love. It's also called humour, but anyway ....

I find it funny people are in an uproar over the doctor strange casting.
Yet people have no problem supporting a black bond. Lol can't believe Idris Elba is still being considered..

If bond was a code name then yes sure, but James Bond is one person.
A white guy from Scotland. I don't understand why people can't just create a new character for a black actor.
Make a new series like bond and mission impossible but to change his race after he has been a white character in films for over 50 years....

I think they need to make a decision fast about Craig too, he's getting old haha

Yeah it's PC nonsense really. Bond is a white, British imperialist - he's also sexist and a killer, which is fine by some people as long as he's played by a black man.

Because creating a black spy character is not the goal; conquering Bond is.

Moreover, Bond is a unique animal, being British and also with the creative rights held tightly within the EON family, which is somewhat outside the Hollywood mainstream system. So he's an easy target for this kind of idle gossip & chatter.

Imagine if the conversation was about Bat, Supes or Cap becoming black. That's when the media would show its true colours (no pun intended).

Good point. That's well after my time (in terms of the comic universe) so I wasn't aware of that until you mentioned it and I googled it. He's still the Falcon to me though.

There has been a black Batman, too. But, his name is Wayne Williams. And he's not an industrialist like Bruce Wayne. There is a black Spider-Man too, and his name is Miles Morales. There are many black Supermen, too, and one of them is Calvin Ellis.

Personally I think this Bond being anything other than white is one big media merry-go-round. It's a massive click bait ploy. Bond's skin colour won't change.
