    Ok, on the vein of TMWTGG when Bond shoots Scaramenga. We see Bond's gun fall off into oblivion, but he someone finds a loaded pistol. Furthermore he slips into the Bond suit of Scaramenga's wax figure without Nic Nak seeing it on the camera. Can anyone explain this?
    (when you notice something like that, a wizard did it-Zena to geeks in the Simpsons)

    Thanks for the replies. I totally forgot that he stated the scars were from the explosions. My favorite Bond film, and I can't even remember that. Maybe the angle that Bond was watching from made it look like Ourumov shot him, when in reality, it was to the right or left of his face.

    Alright, I have to mention this. Can anyone enlighten me on why Charles Gray appeared in YOLT as Dikko Henderson, then four years later as Blofeld in DAF? The first time I saw YOLT I thought "wow this guy looks familiar. Is that Gray?". Why did EON do this? Did Gray impress them so much and they felt Henderson died too quick so they brought Gray back as Blofeld????
    Err - hes just an actor. It would be a pretty pointless career path if you were only allowed to play one character.

    Although perhaps what youre getting at is why were EON so blown away by his performance as Henderson that he landed lead villain in DAF?

    I would say one or both of the following:
    1. He was a drinking/gambling pal of Harry and Cubbys.
    2. After breaking the bank to get Sean back on board the DAF budget was creaking so they needed to go for a nobody (no offence Charles) as Blofeld.

    One of the biggest in the series if you think about it. I thought many people knew about that one.

    There's plenty of logical questions - how did Blofeld build the volcano base, how did Drax build his space station, etc etc. You've just got to take them with a pinch of salt - it's Bond, it's escapist, not realistic.

    Still, there's one thing that's always annoyed me. Helga Brandt, after meeting Bond disguised as someone else, says to Blofeld "But Bond is dead! It was in all the papers!"

    At Bond's funeral at the start, a man's reading a newspaper. Most of the front page is taken up by a picture of Bond. Why didn't Brandt recognise him then, considering she's read all the papers?

    ^ I think she might have been lying to try and save herself to Blofeld.

    A lot of YOLT doesn't make sense, more so than DAF.

    Well I'm sorry, how Oddjob gets in to Bond's hotel room in GF is still #1 in my book. And no Gerard, I don;t think that Bond would just "leave the windows open." Why would he do that? I mean, I know it gets hot in Miami Beach, but it's not like they didn't have air conditioning in 1964! And it's not like he hasn't had unannounced guests in his hotel room before; the tarantula in DN, Tatiana in FRWL. Maybe Goldfinger had some type of "Star Trek" transporter that allowed him to "beam" Oddjob into Bond's room!

    Bond as a character in the novels, actually prefers open windows to air conditioning, so who knows. ;-)

    Maybe Oddjob is under the bed the whole time? As the camera follows Bond and his ear muffs rant he sneaks out, quickly snaps Jills neck (as I've always wondered why she never bothered to inform Bond someone was about to bash him on the head) and then sneaks up behind Bond and into shot.

    @DB5: Considering how strong Oddjob is, I would suspect that he just wrenched the door knob off with his bare hands, thus breaking the lock. Then he could just push the door open with no problems.

    Indeed. That's probably why neither Savalas nor Pleasance were considered for DAF.

    I've gotten to the point where I can't watch GoldenEye without wanting to quote it.
    Haha, I'm well into that stage. It's probably the only Bond film where I can recite the dialogue for an entire scene.

    He was probably just hiding in the kitchen the whole time, snuck up on Bond and then went to kill Jill. In regard to something that doesn't make sense, how do Bond and Pussy manage to eject so quickly? One second Connery isn't even in the co-pilot seat, the next a seperate dot on the scanner is seen.

    Also, as I've said quite a few times on here, how does Shady Tree open the coffin in DAF without getting his hands burned? It was in the incinerator only a few seconds before.

    @BAIN, exact same here, haha. Almost the entirety of the first thirty or forty minutes of the film involves me quoting along.

    @BAIN123 and Creasy47: Same with me. The two scenes that I can't go without quoting at least partially are the casino scene with Xenia and the interrogation scene with Ourumov and Dimitri Mischkin.

    The interrogation scene with Ourumov and Dimitri is one of my favorites to quote. Amazing. Along with the banter between Alec and James in the beginning of the film.

    Charles Gray played both Dikko Henderson and Blofeld..

    Maud Adams played both Andrea Anders and Octopussy..

    Robert Brown played both Admiral Hardgreaves and M (although, one could say that the admiral was promoted into the position... still, nevertheless)

    Joe Don Baker played both Brad Whitaker and Jack Wade..

    it seems to be a trend in Bond... if they (the producers) like an actor enough, i guess they will invite them back in different roles if need be.... i have no problem with it - i think it's kind of fun in a way. lol.

    Here's one from YOLT: We know that Blofeld's volcano can be accessed by the sea through a tunnel. However, that tunnel is protected by a deadly poison gas. So, how come nobody dies when Bond, Kissy, the ninjas and (presumably) the members of SPECTRE still alive escape the erupting volcano by that same tunnel ?

    Hilarious question, particularly from you. Did u ever ask why? Why we toppled all those dictators, undermined all those regimes, only to come home well done good job but sorry old boy. Everything you've risked ur life and limb for has changed.

    Once again ur faith is misplaced..,they knew. We're both orphans James... but where ur parents had the luxury of dying in a climbing accident mine survived the British betrayal and Stalin's execution squads. But my father couldn't let himself or my mother live with the shame of it. Mi6 figured I was too young to remember... and in one of lifes little ironies... the son went to work for the government whose betrayal... caused the father to kill himself and his wife!
