    As much as I agree with that, the recent interview they gave where they admitted new ideas were in short supply in the 'modern age' is reason enough for this to be their last film. I don't like ragging on them too much - as you say, they're fine as ideas/structure men once someone comes in and polishes their dialogue and some of the finer details, but it surely must be time for some new in-house writers.

    We don't even need a seasoned pro in that position. We just need ideas men. The seasoned pros can turn it into a working script later.

    In SP, Blofeld's lair was created by a meteor, which he kept on site and showed to Bond and Swann.

    The Spectre rings were made of Zirconium which can be found in meteorites.

    And we now have a space themed working title as well - Eclipse.

    Unpopular opinion alert
    I'd be quite happy if Eclipse is the title. It's mysterious and doesn't give anything away, reminds me of Skyfall, in that we knew next to nothing about it and it's intriguing as to what it could mean to the character and the plot. As others have rightly said, take it with a pinch of salt until we hear more.
    It's nice to have something else to talk about instead of delays or anything else negative.

    To me, the title IS bland but it could work depending on how they use it story-wise.
    Regarding being used before, some titles also had the same luck: The Moonraker was a 1958 film and there were two films titled Licence to Kill in 1984 and 1964. In fact, Clint Eastwood's film The Eiger Sanction was titled Licence to Kill in Spain, reason why the Bond film was renamed 007: Licence To Kill in Spain and 007 With A Licence To Kill in South America during the theatrical release.

    The Twilight film title is not Eclipse, but The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

    I know, right? Well, to be true, yes and no. I'm on the fence on this one, Nackers. Still love it that Fukunaga is directing and not Boyle. And that Matera locations seems interesting enough. Other than that, what do we really know that's exciting? And please, be free to sell me this one. I'd appreciate it. You know me, I've been positive all through this production. But, truth be told, it has not be as nice as other pre-productions have been, and it's wearing me down a bit. I do hope that'll change soon. We'll see.

    If I'm honest I have nothing to offer which will cheer you up, and ( no offense) I'm not bothered either way.
    Whatever is happening behind the scenes at Eon as they prepare this film interests me a little bit less than the colour paint my wife has chosen for the dining room. I have been a Bond fan for decades which means that back in the 70s the first I knew about a new Bond film was a cinema trailer a few weeks before the film release.

    When the production book comes out I may buy it to see how the film took shape. Then again, I may not.

    As for the actual film, well that bad boy will interest me. I'm excited that a film is coming. And Craig's performance as Bond is the main thing that will fascinate me. Nothing in my Bond world is more interesting than seeing how this incredible series shapes itself, alters and evolves, and how the actors interpret the role.

    Tidbits about the possible title, who the cinematographer is, shots of random clapperboards, locations, plot points..nah! Not really interested. Not at this stage anyway.

    Mine is a cursory glance at the latest rumour and a shrug of the shoulders. I'm looking forward to the press conference but I have no interest in wishing my life away waiting for it. It happens when it happens.

    2. No way does he stay signed on and go into production if he thought the finished script was going to be awful.
    3. No way does he stay signed on if he thought the project was too big for him.

    Also my line of thinking. I'm still very, very excited. I've merely been glancing over rumours and any of the tidbits of the last month or so, as I want to still get that fresh sense of post-press conference excitement. It's starting to make me giddy.

    I don't care if they are still writing as they film - all that matters is final product on screen.. JAWS went through a production nightmare for the ages, but the end result was one of the greatest films of all time..

    I'm not saying Bond 25 will follow the same path.. But filmmaking is an "ends justify the means" form of production.. If Bond 25 turns out great, then all this is forgotten.. But if it turns out bad, well then... we saw how it affected SP to a lot of people.

    To be honest, I haven't been keeping up on all the title business (I'm very easy and rarely get disappointed by a film title, especially a Bond one), and I haven't heard any noise about it through "the grapevine", but catching up on this thread, perhaps this has nothing to do with the fan film at all... Many of you are very convincing, along with that 007.com posting; so, I guess, roll on...
