    Watching Macgyver on German TV right now (my mom loves him, what can you do)
    And Episode 5 of season one (The Heist) is basically one long Bond parody. The name James Bond is used multiple times by Gyver himself, "I look like James Bond" as well as by the Gyver-girls in the Episode. There is even a sublte Bond like theme in the Soundtrack when he puts on his Tuxedo.
    And of course theres an obligatory Casino scene where you can see him gambling.

    Well, in one episode of Castle, the eponymous writer was once contacted to write a series of novels featuring "a well-known british secret agent". He thought about it, but decided to continue with the adventures of Nicky Heat. But later on, we learned that he received his calling as a writer from Casino Royale, which his father (himself a british secret agent, although not well-known) has sent him as a brithday gift, IIRC. And later on, he received a first edition of the novel, once again from his father.

    And in the 70s, on french television, i saw a few times a magician whose gimmick was to act like a secret agent, with loads of gimmicks, including a record player inside his hat. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a clip, otherwise I would have posted it here.

    My kids were watching a Spy Kids sequel yesterday, and I saw that it was Spy Kids 4: All the Time In The World.

    I didn't even know there was a Spy Kids 2.

    I remember that! Castle is one of the cop shows I enjoy the most, and this little detail to Castle's literary career was a nice touch. There's also the recurring scenes where he plays poker with his famous (real-life) writer friends:

    In the song "Inventaire 66", Michel Delpech, among other things that made headines in the year 1966, mentions "Une bombe dans la Mer, Opéation Tonnerre". It's of course a reference to the Torremolinos plane crash :

    I looked it up, but perhaps it would have helped to mention that "Opération Tonnerre" is the French ttle of Thunderball.
