Lilly Collins is proof that Phil Collins has an amazing DNA.

I was an advocate of Lupita being cast as a Bond girl but now, that would be a step backwards in her career. She's coming off a film where she legitimately is a character that is, "Bond's equal" and isn't undermined just because She's also the love interest and the audience reached, especially in the US has dwarfed that of any Bond film in years. Her Nakia character has more substance and more to do than most Bond girls.

The role of a Bond girl should go to an up and coming actress who needs the platform and exposure, not that that's really done much for most actresses' careers who've been cast.

If you ask me quite a few Bondgirls have had a good career after Bond. Eva Green hasn't done badly, nor Olga or Gemma, and with Monica Belluci in SP I think the Bondgirls/women have come full circle. But it really depends on the script. I'd love to see her in a Bond film, but not in a P&W script.
  • Dichen Lachman and Camila Belle would also make good Bond girls

Well, there's some big actresses in the Bond franchise, especially in the Craig era. Bellucci and Eva Green were already established actresses after all, and Seydoux is not an unkown. Rosamund Pike and Gemma Arterton are also good actresses, and not bimbos. Plus some big names would accept play a Bond Girl only for ego because that is synonymous that they are sexy, hot, whatever. Even Jennifer Aniston vocalized the desire to be in a Bond movie. Thank she was never casted lol

In addition I believe the newer Bond girls have more substance and hope they go further in that regard in future movies.

Natalie Dormer - Would be great as a stuck-up, socialite "princess" type of character.

    Principessa Sukie Tempesta?

(Been awhile since I've read those books; not sure if Dormer really would be a good fit for the character)

Always thought that Natalie Dormer and Marion Cotillard would be great as villainesses. Their better roles are when they are antagonistic imo

I can't say I'm too impressed with the recent suggestions by the Express.

Too young imho, unless they are planning on casting for Bond's long lost daughter.

Forget Margot Robbie. She has the nauseating mindset of "Yeah, i'd like to be in a Bond film, but not as a Bond Girl, I want to be Bond" that is affecting actresses lately.

I will boycott B25 if they have Cara Delevigne as the Bond girl because she is terrible

At least a lady that does fit Craigs age, so no young girlies which would make him a rapy old man. In these days of #metoo also not the smartest choice. Even Roger Moore looked more at ease with the older ladies in his reign.

Immediately i'm thinking Diane Lane, Julianne Moore & Virginia Madsen. All three could run rings around the younger suggestions in that Express article.

I'd agree about Moore but she was recently in Kingsman so perhaps they won't use her for Bond so soon.

Madsen has been hit and miss for me. If you like her I recommend an early neo-noir film directed by Dennis Hopper with Don Johnson and Jennifer Connelly (Iooking absolutely fabulous by the way) called The Hot Spot. It features original music from the great John Lee Hooker & Miles Davis.

I saw Murder at 1600 again recently. It's a late 90's thriller starring Wesley Snipes. Lane plays a Secret Service agent in it and had my attention throughout.

I haven't seen the second Kingsman, but I can see why that would rule out Moore. Then again, it didn't stop EON from casting Seydoux following her role in MI: Rogue Nation.

I have (/have seen) The Hot Spot. Damn Don Johnson, caught between Connelly and Madsen. I think she's always an excellent actress, but Madsen has often taken a paycheck role.

Murder At 1600 is one of my favourite Diane Lane films, but I haven't watched in... I can't remember. I'm going to have to fix that.

Older actres, a repeat of earlier sugestions:

    Agata Gotova (1977)
    Catherine McCormack (1972)
    Eliana Alexander (1969)
    Catherine Zeta-Jones (1969)
    Connie Nielsen (1965)
    Kristin Scott Thomas (1960)
    Andie MacDowell (1958)
    Isabelle Huppert (1953)
    Vanessa Redgrave (1937)
    Jane Fonda (1937)

But 80's born can stil be intresting:

    Claire Cooper (1980)
Thi Hai Yen Do (1981 or 1982)

All of them sugest earlier as Quantum member.

Surely we're stretching it a bit here. Bond still needs to be able to get off.

An excellent choice, but too tall for the current Bond.

Yes, unless they cast @Getafix as Bond.

I haven't seen Atomic Blonde. And while I have nothing against women kicking ass (I always have time for Kate Beckinsale as Selene, and Milla Jovovich as Alice), Atomic Blonde looks like a dull 2hr statement, that looks more flimsy the closer you look at it.

Theron is the right age but she's perhaps a bit too famous. More notably, she's too tall for our current Bond. He already had to deal with his vertical challenges in QoS apparently, and we wouldn't want to put him through that again.

I'd bet a million dollars she's been brought up before, but I'd love to see Jennifer Connelly in a Bond film. She's about 2 years younger than Daniel Craig and she's still one of the most beautiful actresses on earth, of any age. I think of her as our modern day Elizabeth Taylor. But prettier.
