  1st trailer for the latest Jason Statham flick The Meg is set to drop next week.
  
  With a budget of around $150 million, it is by far the biggest budget ever given to a Jason Statham flick outside of the 'Fast & Furious' and 'The Expendables' franchises - almost 3 times as big as the previous most expensive Statham film (The Italian Job). The film will be released in cinemas on August 10th, 2018.

  With that sort of budget hopefully they have been able to purchase some decent special effects. Cliff Curtis in this is certainly a positive.

  @bondjames IMO Statham is a safe bet for fun action/adventure films. Most of his films have a high rewatch value, as it's always fun to watch Statham kicking some major ass for 90 minutes.

  I definitely agree @DaltonCraig007, and in this case I'm a huge fan of shark films in general also, so I'm sure I'll enjoy it. Looking for some Deep Blue Sea style thrills.

  RE: Downey: His Marvel contract is up after Avengers 4 which releases next year. I'm sure he can start work on other projects once that film wraps up shooting, which should be soon. There are actually a bunch of Grade A actors whose contracts will be up with that film, and who will soon be available as Marvel moves into its next phase. I can't wait to see what they all get up to.
