    I really just wish an announcement was made already about his return/departure. That way I can stop getting my hopes up. No telling how much longer it'll be before we hear anything. The suspense is terrible.

    i wouldn't expect anything of actual substance to be announced before mid Summer... whether that be Craig's decision, or who the new distributor will be - or whatever...... i dont know, i just feels like the right time.... it would be almost 6 months since SP left theaters and was released on DVD...

    Personally I want a stronger story for Bond 25 I just felt really let down with Craig's tenure as the first two films were amazing then skyfall was just ok then Spectre was a bit weaker I am hoping he comes back and ends on a strong note ala Casino or Quantum heck I would take Forester back with open arms.

    Exactly.

    Problem is, we'll continue to see M and the other MI6 staff out in the field until they recast the parts with people without the pedigree that the current actors have. As they had previously said about Judi Dench, you don't pay Ralph Fiennes to come on board and play M only to leave him behind the desk with nothing to do.

    They need to find some well respected, yet not terribly well known actors to take over these parts, the kind of actors who can play the parts well but would also jump at the chance for the exposure that Bond would bring, even if it's only for a few scenes.

    The Living Daylights is one of the perfect templates for a Bond film. They should follow in the vein of that entry for the next one instead of recycling Christopher Nolan's dark and depressing tone with a little bit of Jason Bourne dragged in, plus the constant need of putting a revenge angle is a tired hand to play. And no, the Scooby Gang should stay home and do their homework. Bring in some original characters on board and give us a straightforward Bond adventure with a good story that challenges Bond into the corners.

    Where were you lot in 89-95?That was suspense.

    This has barely been even 6 months. We are still on course for 2018 at the moment.

    The last one was only released on home video just a couple of months ago. There's more than enough time for things to get on track for a 2018 release. More than enough.

    M can be on the field. It's called a Head of Station. Like Saunders in TLD, Tanaka in YOLT and Kerim in FRWL. Have Fiennes' M in London give Bond his mission, and then Bond is shipped to the main location, where he stays for atleast half the film without globetrotting, and he is briefed with further details from the local Head of Station.

    I said nothing about keeping M out of the field, as I've had no problem with Bond running into him in some sort of secret HQ throughout all of the other movies. What M doesn't need to do is play the role of a 00 agent and fight the bad guys up close and personal.

    Was at the red carpet UK premiere of Civil War and it struck me harder than ever at just how abysmal Craig's fit of his suits are. Evans, Downey, Mackie and Render look more Bona-fide in their suits than Craig has for the last 4 years. It's actually embarrassing that James Bond has self-victimised himself in this regard. It needs to change.
