    Fuck you
, we already get American composer..
Is that what that meant? Learn something new every day. ;)

    Boy looks good. Has potential

I agree here ..manly enough look but different from Craig. And he's acting is good??? I haven't seen him yet at least I don't think I've seen him yet.

Interesting article. 12 British landmarks that could qualify as future villain layers:

Dunnottar Castle would be perfect if Bond 25 was going the YOLT novel approach. :D
  • Whoa yeah that does look good, the perfect locale for Dr. Guntram Shatterhand. It's even on the coast! Just dress it up a little or use CGI to make the exterior look more Japanese, and there you go.
  • I'm not sure I like the fact that Bond is moving from Sony...

This film should probably go in to production by the end of 2017 with a release date set for Nov. 2018 am I right? If this is how it'll go down & DC is still playing 007, he should be 49-50 years old. That's the perfect age for him to retire from the franchise. I want so badly for him to do Bond 25. As much as I loved SPECTRE, it simply feels incomplete. I also want Waltz & Seydoux to return as well. One more, Mr. Craig & I'll be more than satisfied.

The earlier they get it done, the better it is for Craig, though I'm sure we won't see 'Bond 25' until 2018 at the absolute earliest. With a new distributor being selected and Craig being so unsure, I don't see them getting this set up for a release in two years, unfortunately.

@Creasy47 Well let's hope the distributor gets chosen right away, then hopefully things will start falling in to place.

Well if it will really take until 2018 for Bond 25, then I really don't think Spectre is a two-parter.

I agree with this. The longer it drags on, the less likely we will get a sequel. It could end up being a 'stub' story, sort of like QoS was. If they move forward with a 2017 release however, then there is more chance of a direct sequel and also more chance of DC returning, both imho.

With the state of the pre-production for the movies in the last decade, I don't foresee us getting a sequel in two years, as nice as that would be.

Think I read somewhere that Craig's Othello will open at the end of 2016. That rules out Craig for a Bond 25 opening in 2017 as they would have to start production in the fall of 2016. If he returns for 25 it will have to open in 2018.

Yea I think there's a pretty solid case for nothing sooner than 2018.

It was December after Skyfall that they announced work on Bond 24 (but also had the delay of Mendes backing out). But with Craig's wanting time and them badly needing a new writing team and, likely, a director hunt, they'll need a gap.

Hopefully they get a director and writers in place soon enough to have plenty of time to work before production. Get everything ready for when Craig's theater responsibilities lighten. It'd be nice to have everything in place and less hectic for once.

Who would you like for the next director, dream choice and realistic choice.

Forgot about Craig doing Othello. Yeah, then that pretty much confirms that, at minimum, we'll be waiting another three years for 'Bond 25' if Craig is returning for a fifth.

Which means less chance of a direct sequel to SP in my view. I can't see them continuing this story directly from where they left this one 3 years out. They may, but I think it's quite unlikely, even with the continuity they've established during his era.

I personally think it will be a standalone finale for him then (perhaps with some allusions to Blofeld) or it will be a new actor.

I feel like there is more uncertainty now then there was after SF for some odd reason.

Agree. The 3 year gap kind of works against a sequel type plot. I had thought a Swan dies, and Bond goes all out for revenge on Blofeld kind of plot would be interesting, but now I don't know. But it would be very interesting to know what was in Logan's 2 part film script.

Maybe if things go right, it'll release earlier than October, maybe in the summer?

i dont believe the gap between 2 years and 3 years makes much of a difference...

there was a 3 year gap between SF and SP - and SP picks up shortly after where SF left off - for all intents and purposes, it was a sequel.. just not directly..

if Craig is back for Bond 25 - then they'll have to address his "being gone" one way or the other - by either tying it into the plot of this upcoming film, or by simply writing it off as he went on leave for a couple weeks... - and thats something that can even be used for if a new actor takes over.... my guess, is if Craig is back, there is really no other way to go except for a continuation..
The thing with a direct sequel is it normally has the same cast (or quite a few members anyway).

If SP really connects with the public (story wise) then it makes sense to make a sequel and do it soon.

If once the post-mortems are done, they feel that the main story didn't really connect (whether it be on account of execution or plot), then it either makes sense to get the cast back and deal with it/address it quickly, or forget about it entirely rather than retread it 3 long years later.

SF, no matter what folks may think of it, did connect.....so it made sense to bring back elements of that story in SP, including retconning Silva (no matter how odd that may appear to some) & bringing back Dench for a cameo.

so we are looking at a 2018 release. I am ok with that honestly. Like I said I love the build up to a new bond film the rumors the speculation the casting the title announcement the trailers etc. It's the best part about being a bond fan.

I will say that Craig is the only Bond actor who might be able to bring us out of the November only time slot. Heck if they got a big name director like Spielberg I could imagine Bond 25 fitting nicely in a Early Summer slot.

I'm not sure where we stand on discussing the leaks now, so I'll put it in spoilers.
I still haven't read the any of the scripts, but I've learned of many scrapped elements that could make an appearance in B25. Notably, the October script had an alternate version of the torture sequence that involved a certain powerful solar furnace device that reflected the sun onto Bond (a nice nod to TMWTGG), burning his skin. I like what they settled for, however it would make for a great scene in the future, perhaps Blofeld tortures both Bond and Madeleine as they share some emotional dialogue. Plus, there have been many cases of which certain scenes from a script were trashed, but reprised in a later film (Goldeneye's script originally had that train-bridge sequence from the SF PTS. Anyways, let me know what you think.

I agree with that. I'm very glad they discarded the poker game duel with Bond and Blofeld. The solar furnace thing has to be used by someone in the future, if not Blofeld, any kind of an iconic villain will do. A new iconic villain and not someone who would resurface in the rise of the rebooted arc.

We can have Walt Disney Pictures to buy James Bond (you can tell then on Twitter wherever you want). But I've reject Warner Bros because I was disgust at WB to eyeing on the Bond series but Disney can.

We would like to agree with Disney to getting it :-)

Endorse Disney however you like. For the sake of goodness, and for the greater good, it will never happen. Fortunately.
