SPECTRE : Best lines (spoilers)

For me, one of the best aspects in SPECTRE are the dialogues.

So let's share our 3 favourite lines !

- Oberhauser "It was me James, the author of all your pain".
Said by everyone else, it would have sound ridicoulous, but when Waltz says it with anger and revenge in his voice, it's just thrilling

- Q : "I asked you to bring it back in one piece, not just one piece"
followed by Q's laugh. I guess I laughed louder than he did

- Bond "That all sounds lovely"
Bond is at his best in SPECTRE and completly masters the art of irony and sarcasm. I just love it.

So what are your favourite lines ?

  • - Bond to mouse: "Who sent you?" "Who are you working for?"

    - (checks to see if spoilers in title, ok) Blofeld to Bond about pushing each other's buttons, then pushes the button

"Now we know what 'C' stands for...."

    Definitely my clear winner.

I'd like to add "my mother's blood line" - all this speculation about if or if not he was really Oberhauser, people saying that was a John Harrison thing or a thing the producers said just to throw us off, so nonchalantly (and logically) resolved.

I think this thread will be better populated after SP comes out on DVD.

The line that amused me was: "Please would you flush that down the toilet. We'll cut out the middle-man."

    ...or words to that effect.

I seem to remember Jasper Carrott doing a similar gag about health foods back in the eighties (pretty much word for word, actually), but then I'm sure those awfully nice chaps at Eon wouldn't dream of blagging someone else's material, would they?

One of my favorite lines is still "You are a kite dancing in a hurricane, Mr. Bond." Not sure if 'Mr. Bond' appeared in the film or not, but I am glad that they didn't change Jesper's delivery of it, it was perfect. I'll be able to add more once I know the movie by heart. Another perfect delivery of Bond's was the "Noooo!" whenever 009's music kicked on during the Rome car chase. He seemed so casual but genuinely pissed off at the same time that I couldn't help but laugh. Finally, the mouse dialogue was rich, too.

    When Madeleine Swann was drunk:

    "Two Jameses. Lucky me."

This along with the sexiest "Bond, James Bond." ever.

    "Vodka martini, shaken not stirred"
"We don't serve alcoholic beverages here"

Love that Craig gets to say the line in its full glory and is promptly denied in a clever way.

Yes, "...dancing in a hurricane..." was a good line. In fact the whole scene was an extremely well-done one on the whole. Certainly one that contains oodles of portent and meaningful drama.
  • Q : "I asked you to bring it back in one piece, not just one piece"
followed by Q's laugh. I guess I laughed louder than he did

Why is Q laughing about his work..... He normally doesn't joke about his work...

And, now we know what C stands for...

This whole exchange between Bond and Swann are among my favorite scenes in the film. In fact, Spectre is full of great dialogue exchanges.

    Also,
"You're a hard man to kill Blofeld."

"I'm Mickey Mouse, who are you?"

    "He's everywhere. Everywhere!"

    "Don't stay!"

    "Bottoms up."

"Do you know any other bird calls Franz?

"Shame it's been reassigned to 009"

    So many others.

*Nano tech shot into blood*: "Christ!"

    "Does it do anything?"

"So what do we do now?..."

"If you try to come near me, I'll shoot you."

"Get on with it, anything's better than hearing you talk."

One of my favourite little parts is when Bond waves cheekily to the bodyguard watching him at the funeral.

*Laughs* "I really put you through it, haven't it?"
  • HELP !!

I could not hear Swan's response during the talk in the train. Was she trying to tell James she was in the house when he shot her dad at the end of Casino Royale ?

    "You're a kite dancing in a hurricane Mr.Bond"

    "To death"

    "It tells the time"

    and few others for sure.

"Now we know what 'C' stands for...."

    Definitely my clear winner.
Another thing that only I laughed at in my cinema. I almost felt weird "hhahaha i get it! It's Cun....wait....why aren't these people reacting like me?oh..I better shut up.."

    But....

I guess he wanted to blend in with "the boys", and..he's still young he has sense of humour. Besides, I think the "old Q" joked here and there with Bond. This new Q is doing really well so far. I love him.

If you are referencing what I think you are...No.

She was saying that she killed someone that tried to kill Mr.White when she was a young girl. She wasn't referring to Bond but rather to some other random enemies of Mr.White.

Q: "Also, I have a mortgage and two cats to feed."

Moneypenny about her new boyfriend: "It's called life, James. You should get one."

James: "But what does it do?"
    Q: "It tells the time."

M to Q: "If Bond's not it London you're in deep shit."

M to C: "A license to kill is also a license not to kill."

C: "Now we know what M stands for. Moron."
    M: "Now we know what C stands for. . . . . . careless." (I voiced out cock. Hehehe)

Q to Bond: "They might want my balls as ornaments for Christmas." (Somewhere along those lines.)

Q to James: "I really, really hate you right now."

M to Q and Moneypenny: "If we help Bond, it will make him weaker."

Basically he's saying the drink is crap and should be flushed down the toilet instead of Bond himself or anyone else for that matter drinking it and then pissing/sh****** it out later; hence cutting out the middle man.

Yeah, not too many laughs (or any reaction for that matter) at my screenings either.
