Luftwaffe march - battle of Britain.
Not sure that one carries any weight outside of the UK. I've never seen the movie.
I think this theme would be the one that deserves that honor.
Also a superb track, that's for sure.
I'm Dutch. ;-)
Congrats. Doesn't mean most of the world has ever heard of that song.
Well, in aviation circles it is extremely well known. Slightly behind Top Gun (obviously). And that's not only in Europe, but worldwide.
I would say I do. James Bond Theme first, and then GF and NDIB.
Other immediately recognisable stuff could include Jaws, The Godfather, La dolce vita, Star Wars, some spaghetti western scores by Morricone, and probably quite a few more too.
Doesn't take anything away from the fact that the 007 series has some immortal tunes attached to it, ofc ;)
Forget this, I forgot to delete it.
I don't think you can back that up. It is hardly comparable to Top Gun in terms of pop culture awareness and popularity these days, be real.

My only context for this movie is Jeremy Clarkson's obsession with it on Top Gear, and that was already over a decade ago as well.
Why do I genuinely believe this an opinion you hold? 😉 I’m kidding of course.
Obviously all Bond fans are degenerates and will never grow up.
LOL.
NDIB?
I agree though, plus a number of TV themes
Lalo Schiffen's original version of "Mission Impossible" would be top 5 for me
The "Thunderbird March" might not be so well known among younger folk these days, on the other hand there was rebooted TV series as recently as 2020
Dr Who of course
The theme to the old Western series "The Virginian", called "Lonesome Tree" by Percy Faith, is also a fixture in my all time top 5
Doh! Of course, yes, I was thinking in movie title mode...
I'm with you there, they are the biggies for me too
But I imagine other generations may feel the same about AVTAK (a US #1 hit song), YNMN or SF (first Bond Oscar winner)
Many people knew LALD through the Guns N' Roses version.
Me especially
If you want to fight me after school,
Nobody Does It Better...That's the song that sparked my interest in Bond music...
