Haven’t seen the first since it came out in theaters. It was just middling. I have little desire to see it again, and even less desire for this new one.
I wasn’t a fan of the first film. Felt like watching a child on a rush from drinking a six pack of Mountain Dew.

That sounds like half of the DCEU movies haha

Especially when Zack Snyder has had more creative control, lol.,

Here's how i would adapt Watchmen:

    Make it a miniseries.
Faithfully adapt each one of the original issues into 6 episodes. Two issues per-episode.
Give it a vibrant color grading.
It would serve as an alegory of how, in-universe, vigilantes take things seriously but people see them as a joke.
The Under The Hood segments from the original novel would be made in a mockumentary style.
    Pretty self-explanatory.
Have a self-satiric and atmospherically unfitting soundtrack.
Same as the vibrant color grading.

Weird to call Kurt Russell 'GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 Star'. He's Kurt Russell.

I heard this may happen, looking at his previous roles not sure he can pull it off... time will tell.

Much more than Jesse Eisenberg and Gene Hackman did. This is superb casting from the looks of it!

Hoult is a fun, easy to like performer who makes acting look "effortless". I think this is strong casting, and it's obvious that he really "shows up" in auditions. Similar, I suppose, to the way Cillian made an impression on Nolan when he auditioned for the Batman role (and then was kept on as Scarecrow).

    Good for Hoult!

I like to imagine Nolan telling everyone he wants to do a darker, grittier Batman, and then Cillian shows up and gives him something even Nolan acknowledged was too deep. Watching his screen test, I think he also just looked too young to fill the Batsuit properly. They could have worked that in, though, Bruce should start out as a young man after all. He would have aged perfectly into three movies, and nice to see a young Bruce mature into a grizzled Batman in that span, but I like Bale fine enough too. I'm also not sure, given the obvious pressure Bale was eventually under, that Murphy would have handled the publicity aspect well; he never seems engaged or excited to promote his projects, which is not a criticism just a note.

Nice they have done a good job there, I would not mind a print of that, I have a few DC steel plaques with Batman and Superman comic cover's on, on my wall in my movie room.

Another superman film with luthor as the main bad guy …,. Sigh so when is braniac going to be on screen lol

I still cant believe (not counting sucide squad) we barely have had any new batman villains post Batman begins…

I am hearing rumors Clayface will be the main villain of the batman part 2 and i kind of am hoping it true

I agree with you for both Batman and Superman villains.

They are playing it safe. Many people out there don't know much about Batman villains apart from the ones that featured prominently in the '60s TV series and the later film installments. Despite the comics, games and animated series (plural), the likes of 'Clayface' and 'Mad Hatter' just aren't that well-known, sadly. And since it's all about starting over, and then starting over again, and then again again, ... it always comes down to Riddler, Joker, Penguin, Two-Face, ... Nolan had some big cojones when he started with Scarecrow and Ra's.

A good villain is important -- superhero films are usually only as good as their villains -- but a lesser-known villain comes with extra benefits: 1) we can shift the focus more to the Bat (family), 2) we can make the palette fresh again. But it takes balls to abandon familiar characters and seek out lesser known ones.

This has more to do with the DC Animated Universe, but I was reading a 2006 interview with Bruce Timm and came across this section, where Timm talks about Darkseid:

"He's very much like the classic James Bond villains. As Kingsley Amis pointed out, the best Bond villains—Goldfinger, Dr. No, Blofeld—are all evil authority figures, or 'dark father' figures, with Bond playing the role of disrespectful, willfully disobedient schoolboy. It's implicit in 'Apokolips—Now!' in the 'Lucifer tempting Jesus' scene on the cliff; and it's explicit in 'Legacy' with Darkseid's 'adoption' of Superman. The climax of 'Legacy' especially resonates with that father/son dynamic: 'You've been a bad boy. Now take your punishment.' "

She is way too ugly to play Supergirl.

They should bring back the chick who played her in The Flash. She was good and looked hot ( Just please don’t give her an Ezra Miller hairstyle like she did in that film! )

That's ridiculous. What scene in TDK will traumatize 14-year olds?

I love when men, who are in fear of women, talk about actresses who are "way too ugly", and which ones are hot.

I'd love to get his measurements, lol... Anyone who talks like a Biff, really does wear his inferiorities on his sleeve.

😂 😂 😂... As I whined about earlier, @talos7 , I'm being taken down by a nasty cold-flu. I'm so miserable, my dog is staying away from me, but this, your comment, was a nice little pick up, 😂.

    Well played, 😆
