    Contracts 1, sorry. Not sure how cohesive the story is throughout, it may not even matter if I started with the second one first. It wouldn't feel right though so will keep my eyes peeled for that one to go on sale soon.

    You can jump in at any point, really, but bear in mind the first two are very linear. Ghost Warrior, was where the maps started to open up. Same with Sniper Elite, except Sniper Elite has never overhauled itself. They have found their niche, and have perfected their 'thing' from game to game. The first 2 Sniper Elites are linear. Sniper Elite 3 is where the maps start to open up.

    No no, they're are completely separate series, made by different developers. But they have evolved in a similar way.

    That's pretty interesting. I don't even mind a more linear approach if it still offers a level of exploration and freedom while trimming the fat, so to speak. Developers can give me the biggest open world game in history but it means nothing to me if there's nothing to do and nothing of value to see.

    Very excited for this remake too as I've never played the game, only heard great things about it. Recently played through Origami King and really enjoyed that one.

    Hey! We're eating good right now! I cannot wait to play the SMRPG remake; the original is one of the few classic Marios I haven't played yet! I think we're both in for big-time treats ;) buying both 1000%!

    On leave and its going to rain all day so thought I would just get some gaming in.

    This was recommended to me on STEAM and was on offer in the sale.

    Similar to PORTAL its a good looking puzzle game now I have sorted out the controls, the sensitivity was way too high on default.

    Later i will continue with RDR I am part way into the Mexico missions, a lot of the game is coming back to me, I lost my previous play through saves though glad i did as really enjoying the game.

    I've been diving into inFamous lately, and while it's not the mind-blowing experience I'd heard, it's far from terrible. I'm starting to feel a bit fatigued with sandbox games in general, though. It's high time for some fresh innovations in the genre.

    I love this game so much, it jump started my Assassin's Creed appreciation following the Ezio trilogy, that I never got the love for, and AC3, which I disliked to the point of never finishing it. Provoking other ships into a battle was never not fun. Even though Edward doesn't become an Assassin until late into the game, this is peak Assassin's Creed as far as i'm concerned.

    Red Dead Redemption 2 despite owning this game for years i have hardly played it, I played it for an hour and found the game so slow. Maybe I am being impatient with the game and it gets better, the first game was very streamlined and not as convoluted, also I hate games where for large periods I am just sat watching cinematic's. I will play some more now and try and perserve with it.

    Sheesh, they really don’t leave anything alone anymore. Guess I should count on the remake of my favorite game, TTYD, to feature extra censorship and take out some of my favorite parts. I just don’t understand why it has to be this way. The general public is united against censorship and yet all we do is keep on getting it. At least the MGS Collection is taking the right route it seems of adding a simple warning instead of altering the art.

    Got the platinum this evening. Just like Contracts 1, none of the trophies were hard as such, some even sounded harder than they were.

    Just appeared in my STEAM library, not sure how long I will play this for. Whenever I play Counter Strike I barely last a few minutes then die.

    After toying with the idea for what feels like centuries, I finally took the plunge and unwrapped my copy of....

    *mine isn't the GOTY edition*

    I am about 3 hrs in. I killed the Cleric Beast without dying (which was a surprise given how many times I died before this point). Although I did summon Father Gasgoine*, who took some of the attention off me until he died. I used up 11 health potions, and 19 of my silver bullets. I do love the look of the game. It's like if Hammer Horror were at their gothic peak, today, and opened up a videogame division. Come to think of it, my character does look a little a bearded Sir Christopher Lee, dressed as Dick Turpin in a Tim Burton adaption. :))
    I don't really like how the difficulty is scaled, or how you upgrade. But if you could mash up this art style, with the gameplay of.... let's say.... Skyrim, now that I could get along with.

    * Who I later stumbled into with, as a boss fight, And got mercilessly spanked, and I ended up losing somewhere in the region of 8000 of those blood echoes. The worst part, was that I was on my way to trade them in to upgrade. Thanks, thanks game, I didn't even know that area would lead to a boss fight.

    I just got a free bundle of QUBE and QUBE 2 on Epic. It also reminded me of Portal, looks interesting.

    QUBE 2 has some fun puzzles, nothing too challenging as yet, its a good game to put on for 30 minutes here there. I had a qhick look at the first game on STEAM and added it to my wish list I will buy it at some point.

    Just had a quick play on community made Half Life Decay Solo Mission demo which will be released soon on STEAM, I like the environment animations.

    I have Blue Shift that was glitching so not played it yet though the issue seems to be the resolved one that Opposing Force had so it should work now, in fact I will check now.

    I don't have a VR headset so never played Half Life Alyx.

    Edited: Finally got Blue Shift working, its a bit eerie wandering maintenance corridors waiting for something to attack me though not happened yet.

    @MajorDSmythe, about time! You're in for one of the most challenging yet fun games out there.

    Use the gravestones for help with Father Gascoigne. He's prone to get stuck in those and you can hit him through them.

    Survival horror that is more Haunting Ground, than Resident Evil. No weapons other than a knife (of which of only one can be carried at a time), and some objects to distract, and items around the house to cause sound. Sound especially plays a big part as, like Debilitas in Haunting Ground, Richard roams the rooms and corridors, with his sickle, muttering to himself. You have to listen to him talking, opening doors and walking around.
    I have the battery from the Grandfather clock, now I think I need to use it on the projector up in the office, and find the missing reel of film.

This is the new Poirot game from Microids (their 4th Poirot game, and the second to be an adaption of one of the Christie stories), a modern day adaption of the story. I have only played around 20 minutes, so don't have much to say other than I like the visual style.

    That doesn't really bother me, I am more curious to see how they handle the ending.
