Superhero film innit? Looks like another superhero film, with another character I haven't heard of.

Maybe Superman will turn up to save the movie. The effects look a bit dated.

The Joker sequel has the working title Joker: Folie a Deux.
A pretentious title for a pretentious sequel
    Ugghh whyyy?

Rhetorical of course. I’m still astounded that pretentious film made over a billion dollars.
    Agreed

Yeah that looked really rough. My distaste for superhero fare these days almost always comes down to the effects looking weak or not properly finished and this one's a great example of that.

Everything looks a bit washed out, a group called the Justice Society which includes Brosnan's Dr. Fate is why I will watch the film.

I finally got round to watching James Gunn's Peacemaker series, this is alot of crazy dark fun one of the best shows currently in the genre. It's totally off its head, excellent script, production, action and as always with Gunn a great score.

Wow look at that totally two dimensional blood splatter on his shirt there! :D And I love how the blonde lady's feet are reaching the ground at a point somehow further away from the camera than her bottom is.

I did think Peacemaker was good though, the funny gag ratio in some episodes was higher than in most sitcoms, and the guy who played Vigilante should get lots more work from it.

Gunn is ahead of the audience in that Gunn preempts any potential plot holes which I like, I did enjoy the moment when
    The Justice League showed up.

I only watched it as it was getting shown on Sky Max, which I think was quite a while after it came out, but that moment got coincidentally spoiled for me on Twitter just the day before I watched that episode! :D Typical!

I Just watched it myself on Sky MAX thankfully I had no idea what was likely to happen in the show other than what I knew from The Suicide Squad. It was a pleasant surprise.

They should make Cavill’s sequel not only a direct sequel to MOS but have it ignore BVS/JL entirely. That way they can finally adapt the classic comic book story of Superman as a witch doctor marrying Jimmy Olsen to an ape.

This is just getting weirder as it goes. I can’t imagine WB under a new regime wanting to continue working with this.

I would not be surprised if they wrote off The Flash movie completely I certainly wont support the film.

    I will.
    1) The art and the artist are two different things.
    2) Other people working on the film should not be punished.
    3) If it's a bloody good film, I can still enjoy it no matter what. I still watch Seven, Rosemary's Baby and Annie Hall.

I would not be surprised if it ended up on HBO Max instead of a cinema release.

I think time allows people to separate art from the artist, when its something current it will hurt the film.

I assume WB isn't going to bring Miller back for any films after The Flash. Variety did say sometime ago that they weren't going to replace him in The Flash, though. That's probably very expensive and time consuming. But I wonder if they would be willing to change their minds at some point if Miller's situation becomes worse. At the very least, the filmmakers and actors doing promotion will have to field some uncomfortable questions.

The last time that a movie replaced a big movie star was Kevin Spacey, for All the Money in the World. And even that was less than two months before release. Ezra Miller is a lead, and frankly, I can’t care more or less about it. WB went wrong with trying to compete with Marvel, with the wrong people (Zack Snyder and a lot of his people), to start with. Zack is just too polarizing for what WB was asking for right way. So, there are A LOT of people that are to blame for the DCEU’s more misses than hits. It’s honestly too big a mess to point fingers at anyone.

I haven't seen All the Money in the World (yet), but I understand J. Paul Getty isn't in it the whole time, whereas The Flash is about the Flash. So replacing him would be a bigger and more expensive task.

It's a 200 Million + headache for WB now that's for sure. The problem regarding Miller is he will play multiple roles in the film and likely be on screen for most of the runtime.

I really shouldn’t be posting this in thread, as it isn’t part of the DCEU.
