Okay, maybe a Mod could help with the beginning of this one.

  • Benicio del Toro

Bennys (slang for pep pills) + EO + dell (a grassy, park-like hollow, likely used here in reference to the rhyme "The Farmer in the Dell") + toro (the fatty part of tuna)

So it wasn't that famous Bond character Speedeo "Non-farmed" Salmon then? Darn.

@Dragonpol, I'll get started on that one soon.

@Some_Kind_Of_Hero you nailed it and you have the floor.

The brand name on the pills appears to read "SKP", which led me to think Escape was the first word.

dell (a grassy, park-like hollow, likely used here in reference to the rhyme "The Farmer in the Dell")
Haha, not being a native English speaker and not knowing much about nursery rhymes, I never would've guessed that.
  • A little more math to sort out:

    I got this:

    Pu [Putin - 10]
    C [C4 - Fore]

    Gu [Guppy - Pea]
    Lorr [Lorraine - (Ayyy + N)]

    Pussy Galore

    Who said maths isn't fun?
  • Correct, and thank you for showing your work, @mattjoes.

Not quite, but let me clarify the dash means subtraction. And I'd imagine a good part of the rebus fits into what you'd call "classic rebus".

A little more help then. Subtract (delete) any letters you can, leaving the other ones in place. Having done that, of the three words, two make up a "classic rebus" between them, and the third one makes up another "classic rebus" by itself. Solve each sub-rebus individually and piece it all together.

P.S.: it's not "you know"! There is a key word to be discovered there, one that is implicit and refers to the order of the first two words of the rebus. You'll need that word to get to the answer.

It's just not happening, is it? Maybe I'll have to be a little more persuasive. Have a slightly simplified version of the rebus, in case earlier instructions weren't clear:

    No after U, I insist!

    Yes, yes, yes!

So just to clarify, the original intended solution:
    U NO CIPI-PST = (U NO) (CIPI-PST) = (U NO) (CIIST) = (NO after U) (I in CIST) = No, after you, I insist

    On to you, @QBranch!

That was a good one, @mattjoes. It was the 'C' that threw me off - as making it an 'S' would've been too obvious.

Just got home from work, and need a nap, so I'll pass the round onto whoever wants it, cheers.
  • Wow, that was a tough one. Kudos @QBranch for figuring it out.

Oh, @QBranch got it, good for him. And good Rebussing @mattjoes.

Hmm. Scarpine from AVTAK. As Scar + (ball) pein (hammer). Pretty good sleuthing, @mattjoes.

Let's keep it moving, how about this.

Speck-Murre! Of course! Cured ham and those seabird(s)!

[Props for the birding angle @Some_Kind_Of_Hero. Ready to accept failure on this one. A proper answer can follow.]
