Mine have changed again, and you might notice a bit of a pattern:
    You Only Live Twice
On Her Majesty's Secret Service (funny how that's everyone's pick)
    For Your Eyes Only
    Tomorrow Never Dies
    SPECTRE

    Wots the pattern....??

    I don't get it either...

    :))

We should take a guess, would be a fun game.

-All the films were released in odd years.
-They're all directed by Lewis Gilbert. Or Peter Hunt. Or John Glen. Or Roger Spottiswoode... or Sam Mendes.
-Bond is the main character in all the films.
-All the title songs were sung by women. Or men, one of the two.

I'm terrible at this. Or not.

    - All titles consist of four words. Or three... or one/seven...
    - They all take place in Asia. Except those who don't...
    - They all have Blofeld. Except that not all of them do...
    - They all have some characters that either sleep with Bond or try to kill him.

Am I on to something? ;))

If we discount OHMSS (cos there isn't really anything to 'choose' when it comes to Lazenby's Bondfilms) then they are all 'unpopular' choices that usually rank towards the bottom; both on this forum and with casual moveigoers..?

I've never put together a ranking of all the films grouped together. Too difficult, too many minuscule differences in quality. But I can think of favorites for each actor. Well, almost.

    Connery: DAF
    Lazenby: OHMSS
    Moore: OP
Dalton: Tie between TLD and LTK
Brosnan: Tie between GE, TND and TWINE
    Craig: CR

    Connery: he's spectacular in all of his first four films, but I'll go with TB (relaxed, dangerous, charming,funny, commands every scene, a killer behind the sardonic grin);
    Lazenby: OHMSS (said it before, I'll say it again: this feels like a prequel before prequel was a word);
Moore: between OP and LALD... Very tough... In LALD he was confident and young and cocky, but in OP he seemed to have a slightly tired jadedness and his romance with Octopussy seemed to be where his heart was at.... Because of the heart for the woman was evident and sincere and believable-- OP for the WIN!
Dalton: he is very consistent in both films, but TLD for the win.
Brosnan: the first half of TND sees Brozz at his best-- relaxed fun and whimsical.
Craig: definite tie, but a tie in order, each separated by a hair: NTTD, SF, CR

These are the hardest for me as well. Though Brosnan's I have sorted pretty definitively these days:

    TWINE
    TND
    GE
    DAD

There is obviously a difference between favourite and what we might consider to be ‘best’.
We can try to look at something objectively for ‘best’ but ‘favourite’ is 100% subjective

DAD is in many ways a terrible film, and clearly GE is vastly superior. But DAD is the only Brosnan film where I really dig his performance as Bond. I feel in DAD he’s even-outed the slight tonal inconsistencies that he had in his previous movies, and really put on screen a great version of Bond that feels right, whole, and uniquely his. He’s the best thing about the movie, and the Brosnan flick I watch more than any other.

The same goes for my pick of Thunderball. It’s a brilliant movie in my opinion, but probably not as great as FRWL or GF. But I love the vibe of the movie, and Connery is so good in the role that he doesn’t even seem to be performing at this stage. - he simply is James Bond.

Skyfall was the toughest choice. It and CR and NTTD are all fantastic, and probably will swap places in my affections over time. But Skyfall hit me big time when I saw it.

Sean Connery - From Russia with love
George Lazenby - On Her Majesty’s Secret Service
Roger Moore - For Your Eyes Only
Timothy Dalton - Licence to Kill
Pierce Brosnan - The World is Not Enough
    Daniel Craig - Casino Royale

nothing changed for me though every time I watch Quantum Of Solace I almost put it above Royale then I watch Royale ands it stays the same the 2 films are so good its hard same with Dalton's two films.

Pretty etched in stone for me. The only wiggle room is occasionally I’ll put TSWLM over FYEO, but the latter usual stays on top.
