Every bit of it is false. I was stumped as to why you'd think for a moment that there may be something more to it.
A *small* part of me must allow for there being something more to it, because there's no proof either way. If I thought it had more credibility I would've posted it in the production thread.

Trust me. There's nothing to it.

Exactly. It's a crazy rumor, but thanks for sharing it here where it belongs. :)

It's just one of things, I guess it's fun for posterity and to look back on, but I hate it when these nonsensical rumours get any exposure, because you get people popping up here and there treating it as a potential fact (not you) and dropping it into discussions. We all know how the production process works and we know when a rumour is of interest and when it's total BS.

    :D

Personally, I'll welcome the most ludicrous rumours so I can look back to them as inspiration for my parody posters. One man's trash.., as they say.

Well then, I heard that Kylie Minogue and Miley Cyrus are going to fight it out in the next Bond film as mother and daughter villains. On top of Ayers Rock. While singing, "Can't Get You Out of My Head". With Crocodile Dundee lurking in his underground lair as the main villain behind all the evil plot to remove all the beer from Australia. Tense, I tell ya!

I stood on Ayers Rock back in 1997. The government have, or are now banning people from climbing on it. Apart from that, those other scenarios seem incredibly plausible.

We should make up a really, really good rumour and carefully place it just as an experiment to see how far would it go.

Hey I just heard that Miley Cyrus and Kylie Minogue are going to play villains in Bond 24, and it's going to be filmed in Australia, using Ayers Rock as a location.
Also Mick Dundee will have an underground lair, (Maybe under Ayers Rock) and play the main villain. The plot concerns an attempt to remove all beer from Australia and possibly the world. But definitely Fosters will be gone from the UK as no-one in Australia actually drinks it.
My word the internet is amazing for B24 rumours.

It would be very easy. People 'believe what they read in the press' - unlike Bond.

I think, with regards to what is going to come in the next few months, we should stay away from calling people out for posting what may or may not be a rumor or whatever, as a matter of fact. The result, if you question peoples intelligence, even though they posted it in the right thread, will be, that less is being posted. PLUS you have a go at folks, that have done no harm. Not the right way to treat this.

I highly doubt that. People will continue to post nonsense, it's just making sure we use the right level of reasoning to determine its validity. Which isn't usually too difficult. I guess this is the right thread for April Fool's gags, though, as it is called a rumour 'bin'.

Right it IS the thread to use, hence why question his right to post and at the same time is ability to see it for wat it is - like you? In the end, if you only post stuff, where you can be sure, its a fact, the Bond 24 threads will be very empty and a lot of fun will be taken away.

I don't think I questioned his right to post it? I just said I found it a bit bizarre he found any possible truth in it. On a wider note, I don't think it serves much purpose other than to laugh at. It's not about me having any kind of foresight, we've been on the merry-go-round many times and its usually pretty easy for us to spot the BS. Today, I was more than dumbfounded as their was a specific reason for such articles appearing - I was merely questioning whether @QBranch was serious, as I assumed he might have been taking the piss.

    This just in:

    http://oblikon.net/news/michael-bay-realisera-james-bond-24/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

    Translation:

This is a story that will shake all the new fans of the British agent (those that follow from Casino Royale sum ), but that will delight authors Oblikon : Following the surprise resignation of Sam Mendes, this is none other than Michael Bay has been appointed to carry out the next installment in the saga.

As a reminder , the negotiations were tough at the base to rehire Sam Mendes who refused to make a new James Bond after Skyfall . It seems that finally , the director is back on his decision and would have thrown in the towel .

Production in actively looking for a replacement for several weeks Mendes, and the name is dropped in the late morning . It will be the director of the Transformers saga : Michael Bay.

If it is obvious that the "sensitive" side of Bond will not part with Bay can however bet on a 007 anthology in the tradition of the best GoldenEye or Sean Connery . As we know , in terms of racing , James Bond Girls in bikinis and explosions in all genres, Michael Bay is definitely the very best director today .

If you still doubt , so review what beautiful clip Victoria's Secret pending the announcement of Bond 24 band !

Wow, that was unexpected- but most certainly welcoming news indeed. Let's hope that with Bay at the helm, we get some more of that top notch, minimal CGI he is well known for. Maybe do a homage to the tsunami surfing scene from DAD? Consider my tickets bought!

Not a Bond24 rumour as such, but mid last year, we learned that Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe was interested in playing a role in a Bond film:

Well now, it seems some new comments are making their way around:

I don't find it absurd. True, I don't see it happening anytime soon, but perhaps some years down the track when his face has matured, there could be a role for him, villain or not.

    Haha, true that ;)

They should cast Radcliffe and Wood as a modern version of Wint and Kidd, and then they can both jump around and fight Craig wearing glasses! :))

I've read that somewhere else, and I've also read that Daniel Radcliffe is eager to play a villain in the series. Unfortunately, nobody has been approached besides Ejiofor that we know of, so far.
