    I have one VSS comic in my collection. I haven't read it yet, though. It doesn't look shy in it's DG asperations. ;)
    It's a little more sophisticated and serious than the film adaptation of Dead Or Alive, @MajorDSmythe. That film will require you to get drunk with friends while watching it, but this comic is a little more serious than that. :D

    I remember Holly Valance, but not else from DOA.

    I was just comparing the two flavours of two separate media objects in separate formats, but yet their theme and styles are identical. Speaking of VSS, there is a prequel released after the publication of the original comic, now concentrated on its sole American protagonist, and her last adventure as a cat burglar before she's recruited to VSS. It's simply called Rain.

    I've got to admit, this illustration, along with her pose, is too much for me to handle. :D

    Could it be... I now want to buy these Fire and Stone comics. I saw them barely reviewed on IGN, and they didn't seem to be anything special. Now they do.

    I'd be very interested reading your comments, @Agent007391. If you decide to give it a go, I suggest you pick up the entire series. It's costly, I admit that, but there really isn't any point in leaving half the series unfinished. ;-)

    @ClarkDevlin, interesting title you present there. Personally, I'm a huge Danger Girl fan. @MajorDSmythe talked about it on this forum a few years ago, got me curious, I bought the first series and by now I have read and re-read almost every DG story ever released in comic book form. I simply love the whole DG universe. So my standard in this genre is pretty high. Will I enjoy VSS? ;-)

    @DarthDimi, you will certainly enjoy this if you do like Danger Girl. But, mate, wasn't the latest release in the series most shocking? Danger Girl: MayDay? She's back! Cannot wait for the next entry. As for VSS, I am highly expecting the next installment. Like its original inspiration, it doesn't involve only over the top spy elements, but they are supernatural and highly sci-fi stuff, as well. Rain explores the supernatural stuff, as I've read it before I could manage to get my hands on the first VSS (which follows Rain in chronological order), as I've read on ComiXology before acquiring them both.

    Beautiful and breathtakinggirls. Action. Spy. Thriller. Brilliant storytelling. Sean Connery's James Bond as their mentor, what's better than that? :D

    Sydney is definitely my dream girl. Just give her a highly sophisticated upper class British English accent, instead of Australian, She'll be perfect. :D

    Which one is your favourite entry, @DarthDimi? Mine is a tie between the original and Revolver. Good Lord, the latter had Sydney at her best! :D Now, I wonder how Sonya's (Sydney's sister) uber-toughness would be dealing with...
    Natalya Kassle!
    Let the pursuit begin!

    I actually prefer the original series. Still the best IMO. Just read those first couple of panels. The whole thing is "cut" like an action movie! The "titles" flash on the panels as if it were a Bond film. I have never in my life read a comic that's so energetic!

    You're not alone. :D

    They did attempt to do that with Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, but the entire run along with its storyline was miserable.

    I would agree with @ClarkDevlin on my favourite DG girl, Sydney, and with @DarthDimi on my favourite series, the original, followed by Revolver (the Venetian sequence at the beginning could have come straight from a Bond film we never had).

    Favourite piece of DG merchandise? That would be a close call, between the 'Absolute Collection' which is a thing of beauty, and the Dragon Toys 1:6 collectors figure of Sydney (though why she is clothed as a cowgirl rather than her trademark catsuit is anyone's guess). I have the Abbey one too, but... you know, Sydney > Abbey. :D

    Well said, @MajorDSmythe! :D
    I also loved the cold fight between Deuce and Sonya's employer, Veronica Fox. Deuce (who actually I believe is Connery's Bond by all means.) has really put her in her place. That Venetian Sequence couldn't have been more brilliant! :D

    One thing I'd change about it is to replace the arrogant playboy Johnny Barracuda with a competent classy agent that doesn't do much unless he has to, you know?

    I kinda like Johnny Barracuda as he is. He is like a self absorbed version of Bond, with all his other traits turned up several notches. If a DG, movie happened, no offence to him, but Jerry O'Connell would be a perfect bit of casting.

    Perfect pick, Major! I myself would cast Angelina Jolie as Natalya Kassle, I don't know but I always pictured her in the role. They did attempt to make a film a few years ago, but the project was fallen apart as far as I know. The three leading actresses were Milla Jovovich, Sofia Vergara and Kate Beckinsale. I couldn't imagine anyone in any role. But, probably Milla would have been a good Sydney. Probably. As for Deuce... who'd play him? Bring an accurate dead on Sean Connery look alike I say. Otherwise, Sam Neill would be nice.

    I like Milla Jovovich and Kate Beckinsale, but I don't think they're right for any of the DG characters. I'm gonna sound like such a geek now, but I have made a dream fan cast of a DG film. If a DG film had been made a few years ago (lets say 10), this would be my cast:

    Danger Girl (2005)
    Natasha Henstridge :: Abbey Chase
    Melissa George :: Sydney Savage
    Timothy Dalton :: Deuce
    Jena Malone :: Silicon Valerie
    Jerry O'Connell :: Johnny Barracuda
    Peta Wilson :: Natalia Kassle
    Derek Mears :: Major Maxim
    Jason Isaacs :: Donavin Conrad
    Robert Englund :: Dr. Khanov Von Kripplor
    Warwick Davis :: Kid Dynamo

    The plot would follow the original series.

    I've always thought Benedict Cumberbatch would fit the Donavin Conrad role. Jason Isaacs, I feel, is a little too tough for a clumsy "evil mastermind" like Conrad. The chap has lost a hand to The Joker, always gets overpowered and outsmarted by Abbey way too easily. Lol! Peta is INDEFINITELY perfect for Natalia Kassle! Imagine her Nikita transformed into evil, you got Natalia! Dalton would be awesome as Deuce, but he has to play it cheeky. He never was cheeky as Bond. But he was awesome. Christopher Walken would also be nice if he waas to play Dr. Von Kripplor. And err... what about Dolph Lundgren as Major Maxim?

    Awesome as heck, Darth! :D

    By the way, if anyone has ever played No One Lives Forever 2, did you spot the similar designs between the super soldiers and Major Maxim? Probably Monolith was inspired by Danger Girl?

    If a DG film was made this year, my cast list would be different. The list I posted on the last page would be my ideal choices for a few years ago. I have not given much thought to a 2015 DG. I'd possibly pick, off the top of my head...

    Danger Girl (2015)
    Scarlett Johansson :: Abbey Chase
    Teresa Palmer :: Sydney Savage
    ????? :: Deuce
    Dakota Fanning :: Silicon Valerie
    Brandon Routh :: Johnny Barracuda
    Kayden Kross :: Natalia Kassle
    Tyler Mane :: Major Maxim
    Vincent Cassel :: Donavin Conrad
    Udo Kier :: Dr. Khanov Von Kripplor
    ????? :: Kid Dynamo

    But like I said, my previous list is my preferred choice for each character.

    @MajorDSmythe,

    At the risk of going way too un-PC, I believe Amber Heard doesn't have the - uh - 'chest' to portray Abbey. ;-) We need a good actress with a smoking hot body and some Darth Dimi thing going if you get my boldness. ;-) That said, I wouldn't have a name ready myself. ;-) Dare I suggest Scarlett...?

    Obviously it's barely possible to imagine anyone besides Sean Connery as Deuce. How about his boy?

    J2j.jpg

    Johnny... How about Brendan Routh?

    branodn-routh-brandon-routh-285304_466_600.jpg

    My favourite Natalia would actually be Kayden Kross. Granted, she's a porn star and don't ask me how I know her but she certainly looks the part IMO (https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/1c/ec/47/1cec47752e081669ddadc0e0681ebef0.jpg)

    First image doesn't show up for me. Fair point on Amber, though I think Amber does have the sex appeal. Scarlett also has the required sex appeal, but she also has talent. Good call on Scarlett, i'm going to steal her for my list, if you don't mind, @DarthDimi. ;)

    Routh, I don't know much of his work. But that image is Johnny.

    I never heard of Kayden Kross either, but that pic has convinced me that we have found our Natalia too.

    Update:
    There, list updated. That's quite a cool cast there, if I may say so. :)

    The list keeps getting better, @MajorDSmythe. ;-)
    And I certainly hope nobody is doing too extensive a google search for Miss Kross - not safe for work, folks! :-)

    Would we enjoy Vincent Cassel as Conrad? Just give him a thin beard and a moustache...

    That pic is enough convincing. If Sasha Grey can cross into mainstream films for Open Window, I think Kayden can Kross over to mainstream for Danger Girl.
    Another good call, @DarthDimi. Give Cassel an eye patch, and there's our new Donavin Conrad.

    Now, Abbey Chase and Sydney Savage are overly and unimaginatively beautiful so I have no one in mind for their roles for the time being. But, the aforementioned Peta Wilson (whom I better know as Nikita) would indefinitely be awesome. But, problem is that she's getting a little old for it? I say the actresses should be in their mid-30s while acquiring the role.

    And I do agree, Darth. If they have to make a Danger Girl film, it has to be an un-PC movie with loads of fun as the comic was. Make a film for the PC audience, the mojo will be lost.

    Fine choice, @MajorDSmythe! :-)

    A Danger Girl film has to be soooo un-PC, you'd be embarrassed to take your wife or girlfriend to see it. In fact, subtlety has no place in a Danger Girl film. Of course in keeping with the tone of the comics we don't need explicit flaunting of the female curves, but the MPAA goes nuts over a bra or bikini top and we'll be needing lots of that in a faithful adaptation of Danger Girl. ;-)
