Since the series 'rebooted' what do you think happened to THAT Bond after Die Another Day (or EON)?

I'd say he used his wealth and became a very successful New York businessman like Bruce Wayne, and he did change his name to "Thomas Crown". ;)

He went to live in Malibu, appeared in a couple of good movies and a couple of bad ones, whilst having a go at the other fella's recent film.

If they'd let Tamahori do a second one, it would have probably happened.

I find it interesting that he might have done side jobs when he was not on duty and worked as a burglar or a professional thief. I mean, Sean Connery did The Anderson Tapes (and was even offered the role of the original Thomas Crown), Brosnan played a thief in Remington Steele, then The Thomas Crown Affair (the remake), then After The Sunset... Perhaps that Bond indeed retired in The Bahamas (also Connery's favourite place, I believe) with a woman who does look like Salma Hayek.

What could possibly go wrong with that? :))
  • The series really descended under Brosnan, in my opinion. Not really because he was bad, I just think the choices of directors after martin Campbell were really poor, resulting in pretty underwhelming stories. Then the Bourne films came out and the series knew it had to shift in tone to a more gritty, realistic Bond, and Casino Royale was then born.
  • He took up interpretive dance.

Q: Now listen here 007, this new device will allow you to transform into a half man, half horse hybrid known as a minotaur by simply pressing this button. This will enable you to outrun your adversaries more effectively. Press the button once more to return to your normal state. It also doubles as a pen.

Bond: First of all, what you're describing is a centaur, not a minotaur. A minotaur is a creature with a man's body and a bull's head from the writings of the Roman poet Ovid. Secondly, there is no way in hell in using that!

Q: Did I mention that one permanent side-effect of the transformation is retaining a horse sized penis?

Bond (after a brief pause): Give me that.

Well, if that was his last "adventure", he may well be asking why the hell he couldn't have finished after Goldeneye and stayed with Natalya....

Fun fact. In the original script for Tomorrow Never Dies, Natalya is mentioned by Wade who thought Bond would be in deep relationship with her. She married a hockey player of sorts if I recall correctly.

He really went on to become Raoul Silva. After the cyanide burnt him, his face changed with plastic surgery.

This has Tamahori written all over. "After the invisible car, we decided to push the envelope a little further".

Id like to think this reboot is more like a prequel to Dr No- DAD.

What happened to that very expirienced Bond, he just took a long holiday with Jinx and that more confident Bond will comeback in Bond 25

Channeling the novel YOLT. Perhaps aided by Mary Goodnight? Wonder if Tanner ever visited him?
